  3. in oshawa its quite common to see them running on the property of the oshawa airport, you can see them almost daily from taunton road, right beside the airport they sometimes cull them because they could run in front of the airplanes they have had several articles in the newspaper about them, and they are not shy and are very used to people, our local radio station is located in the main building of the airport and the DJ s have been live on the air and have looked out the windows to see them chasing rabbits .for 10years i lived right beside the airport and have heard them howling tons of times as well as seen them right on my street....

  7. WOW..headhunter you said that dead on the money, i hope that he reads what you posted,i was also going to suggest to launch at the ferry,on the north side that would be protected from the northeast winds and would have the wind at his back for the run east, down to keiths shoal..cheers
  8. thanks, spiel now i have to inquire about the ottawa river there is also new regs, for there as well something like the opener being delayed 2 weeks and you cant keep one over 22inches for the first 3 weeks or until june 15th it sounds quite complicated..i fish there all the time and its gonna be the locals that wont abide by it,or even bother to check.if you know about the change please let me know....i surfed around and didnt find any info...cheers
  9. just wondering other than bass pro,who has the new deep diving x-raps i was at bass pro about 1 month ago and they were sold out they only had 2 colours left, rainbow trout, perch,of course i bought them both, but i am looking for a few more colours has anyone been there lately to know if they are re-stocked...thanks
  10. thanks rick thats so cool,im sending it to a few people they will love it merry xmas
  11. yes i would love to see lots of old pics as well, that is really important history of boating & fishing in ontario...keep them comming nipissing,if i ever came into money i would love to have one just for pleasure boating that would be cool, nothing feels like a wooden boat ride from what ive been told
  12. i think that if im in a lake fishing say for lakers and as we all know most of the province has slot limits for lakers and on some lakes we have fished we can catch 5-10 lakers before we are able to keep one as they are all in the slot ,from now on im going to go barbless, its probably the best thing to do to slow down the mortality,as with lake trout ,they have a higher rate of dying especially in the summer when they come up from the depths....i think thats a good idea as lakers twist ,and twist and alot of the time they injure themselves before you can even get them off the hook, another thing is to keep the fish in the water as it will not take off any slime,or use a cradle or a rubber net as not to hurt the fish...cheers
  13. hey greencoachdog, let me get them broke in for you... lol...lol...lol
  14. yes fisherman, thats what i was thinking too, rick you would need a smooth decent shoreline too and you almost have to pull it right out or the waves will was right over the transom...im not likin it rick...lets send one to the bad people that do bad things to our board...lol...lol...

  23. ya herc like egh says try it once with someone who can make it a fun time with in a heated hut ,and you will be hooked,or better yet go with a ice-rental,and they take you out ,give you bait and bring you back, all you have to do is turn the heat on inside the ice hut ,you dont even have to drill your own holes i take my girl who hates the cold and she loved it once i convinced her to go,so give it a try and you wont be dissapointed....
