  2. the danforth is a great anchor,and your new boat is 44 ft it depends on the fluke size of the anchor and its holding power,it should hold 3000lbs in 20knot winds....thers different weights for the anchor size too....do you know how much it weighs,maybe its the wrong size ??? lots of info on the net about anchors,and proper size,and holding power and what size you should have for your boat ?? cheers
  3. danforth anchors do require alot of rope to get the angle needed to dig them in !!!! ???

  10. what is your primary way that you are going to be using the boat,muskie,bass,or a boat you can take the kids,out in...it helps cause it can help to narrow things down a bit ...

  17. get the free book called "guide to eating sportfish" its free,all over the place and check it might be online too...its got testing results from all over ontarios different lakes and rivers...specially the great lakes and you would be suprised how clean some size fish are from lake o....up to about 7lbs rainbows and stuff like that get some really good results,and yet some lakes even way up north have do not any fish posted for them...its very informative,and interesting,i think the last issue for the book was 2010 they used to have them at the beer store and liquor stores,mto offices,and some fishing stores had them...check it out
  18. great fishing !!! ya i love haliburton bass,i love wacky rigging a senko over 20ft of water and watching the bass behave like they are a trout and come right up to nail it only a few feet under the surface its awesome to watch them come right up !!! some decent fish you got there for sure...but man they have dropped the water huge this year,it doesnt look too bad where you are but alot of lakes are down 4,5,up to 7ft below,its the lowest in over 20yrs.....thanks for the report from hali !!!cheers
