  1. LOL That would be absolutely brilliant
  2. Long trip for you Dan. I hope all goes well and you have an enjoyable evening worth remembering for years to come. Have some fun with him...wear a Habs jersey
  3. Thx for posting Chris. I never have had it before...and now I never will.
  4. I'm pretty much the opposite of you Lew...I love the icefishing. However I could do without shoveling snow
  5. We have a little cottage in Bobcaygeon that is NOT on the water...but within walking distance. I was wondering if anyone has a canoe or kayak they just don't use anymore? I probably wouldn't fish out of it much maybe a couple of times a year or haul it out for anyone who shows up for a visit and wants to go for a nice peaceful paddle on the lake sometime. I'm not going to shell out alot cause I really won't use it much. I'm just putting this out there to see if anyone has something they don't use at all and are willing to part with. I was not sure if this should really be posted in the classified section or not as I'm not selling anything, so if it gets moved to there I understand. I just got winternet and I'm looking forward to getting back up to Bobcaygeon in the spring PM if you would rather.
  6. Can't help you Dave...but I am giving serious thought to getting a yak for fishing as well...so I will be keeping an eye on this thread. I have no clue what to look for...I just know I don't want to spend alot of $$$$. The price on that one looks pretty good to me.
  7. I knew a girl in High school who could put her hand behind her back and reach up and put the palm of her hand on the back of her skull..it was pretty freaky to see. Never kept in touch with her...but if anyone could lick there elbow it would be her
  8. I don't know what he's drinkin there...but it's workin
  9. Nice feed there Ted. Get them in the same area we fished? It sure is a nice bonus not having to drive over an hour to get on the ice for some perch. Be careful with now many you eat though...cause if you get pregnant...it's bad for the baby.
  10. Yeah we caught some of the flurries just south of Toronto. Road was still good but the visibility was not great for awhile. At work today my back was complaining to me as well
  11. Nice work Bly and thx for sharing the video. A nice coffee and bailey's in the hot tub and I bet you could get right back out there and do it again
  12. Just saw this now Lew. I'll take any and ALL the nature photo's you can manage at your little piece of heaven
  13. Glad it's getting some use Brian. It was a shame having it sitting in my basement collecting dust.
  14. Like I said Cliff...I'm fine with an overnighter...as long as you stay on your side of the bed...and you don't make fun of my pink bunny rabbit bedroom slippers
  15. Happy to have you here Riley :clapping: You will have to develop your own "Solo" pose for holding fish for pictures. Your dad had a good pose and you should have one too. Zoey looks like a great puppy and I like the picture of you and your brother on the bunk at the cottage Please be sure to share some of your fishing adventures with us.
  16. Funny...that is what one of the guys was saving some for
  17. Thx again for a great day Bruce. The annual pilgrimage by Cliff and I is something we both look forward to. The "Fish TV" is addictive. Ended up with 235. 492 last year...but almost as much meat this year...so the size was much better Thx also for the jars of goodies. Had some of the dill pickles...but an emergency visit to the grocery store tomorrow to secure some nacho chips for the salsa is in order. My second full day on the ice this winter in Cliff's hut...something I could get used too. And I got to Christen my new 8 inch manual LAZER auger. Man they are WAY more work then the 5 inch I use for perchin All in all a fantastic day. I for one will carry on this annual road trip for as long as you can tolerate us.
  18. Yes Jared that would be on my short list too
  19. Christ Billy Bob..does your wife have a long lost sister? My Debbe makes those same sounds
  20. In no particular order. One of my grown up kids telling me I was/am a good parent. Relaxing with Debbe and a nice bottle of wine...or several bottles. Fishing at first light and watching the world wake up. The first tilling of my vegetable garden every spring.
  21. Good one Wayne Once I became a grandfather I just don't find 19 year olds HOT anymore. Maybe my brain is smarter then I think it is and it's trying to protect me from hurting myself
  22. Our old neighbor used to really look after Debbe. If I was gone in the spring on a fly in fishing trip he would always cut the grass for her. And in the winter I swore he sat at his window and if he saw her out shoveling snow he would be out immediately with his snowblower to do it for her. If he saw me out there he would just come out to talk :blahblah1: So it became a little game we played at our house if it snowed. Debbe would go out first and start shoveling. If Ben never showed up I would go out and finish it. He blew alot of snow for us over the years with his snow blower so I made sure he always got lotsa goodies from my vegetable garden in the summer. And he was always happy to get the 2 or 3 hens I kept every year for roe. We have been blessed with alot of great neighbors really, I'm glad we moved here in 1988.
  23. Selection.... Crappy tire hands down...especially certain stores. The one in Lindsay has the best fishing section I have ever seen in a Canadian Tire. Price...if both stores carry the same item...Walmart hands down. However I buy almost none of my supplies at either location...but you gotta browse through it when your in the store
  24. Bust the springs in the toaster...if your lady is a real sport.... you might get a second round in timing the toast ....can't hurt to try
  25. It hurts more when she says "I didn't know a guy could last that long" This never happened to me...a friend told me that
