  1. Fishindevil is right they are a very reliable release, the knob adjusts pressure, you basically place your line in the pad, close the releasethen thr lure end slides into the trigger looking thing on the bottom, after ward the line from the rod goes thru the same lever, -hard to describe it but the hit causes the pad to release. and you guy's thougtht I only know bass! LOL
  2. Happy birthday Gerrit, and a gret 08. Mark
  3. Nice Pics-great to share this with kids! Have an awesome 2008! Mark
  4. Nice! I wimped out -the mild weather , changed my mind, hopefully after Christmas, I have a clam and am really happy with it! I think the quality is higher. Have a great Holiday! Mark
  5. Andy Palotta from CSFL -Bassmania Tournament trail is running it this year same place, more fishing and boating oriented-I agree I've always liked this show-see you there. Mark
  6. I agree Greencoachdog, 4 walleye is more than enough to enjoy a walleye dinner for several people!, and if you think a large body of water can sustain overfishing, ask the cod anglers on the East coast!
  7. Nice pics Shawn, your big smile says it all! fun-what it's all about!
  8. Smokey hit the nail on the head!, way too much about eating fish is emphazised, we live in a country that we do not need to eat fish to survive, or to feed our families, fresh fish should be considered a "treat" , my wife and I love fish -however , we also have 2 children aged 6& 8 , they deserve to enjoy the resource as I did growing up, passing this great sport of fishing to our kids is way more important that filling up a freezer or parading a stringer of big spawning sized fish up and down a dock, like a hero, My wife grew up dirt poor in Ecuador, there they keep fish simply because they have to feed there family, however she understands why we release the majority of what we catch, there is nothing wrong with keeping a few fish to eat, it seems like some people just don't get it! thats why slot limits and reduced limits are implimented-stocking is only a band-aid!
  9. Nice to get out Rich, hope Cooks bay is safe soon. Mark
  10. What restaurant Dave? oh yeah now I remember! LOL, that was a fun but cold day, I guess we'll have to wait fir the ice now-just not the same though! Next season Brian, I have to get you and Patrick G out!, so many fish so little time! at these crazy temps should'nt be long before we have ice. Mark
  11. Well I've had a real fun year and got to talk and fish with some awesome anglers, I got a chance to get out with some old freinds and introduced them to some great Simcoe action, we went out today for a last bass blast, and well like Brian AKA, Misfish reported it was COLD! and windy! but the fish were still there, the bite was a tough one today, as Carolina rigs with Slammers caught our fish, a slowly dragged bait was the key, and the bite was a tough one, today I got to fish with freind and Extreme Angler teammate Bob Devine, Karl Kalonka and Dave Chong joined us in other boats, it was our last bass day of the year after an awesome season of filming ! here are some pics from the last little while. Heres K-Dawg with a couple of nice ones. Here is the masked man of windsor Bob Devine
  12. I'll get into it a bit more in the post Brian, but the key was SLOW!, I mean stupid slow!, hard to do in 30-40 K winds, they were biting really light , if they felt you , they dropit.
  13. I' would offer help TJ. but I was out there too, 3rd time this week!, I would only make him worse!
  14. Yes it can be, if released right away they are fine, but not if you keep them in the livewell, they have to be "fizzed", the smallies in the BPS tank were caught late fall and fizzed also, they are fine afterwards.
  15. Nice smallies as always Greg! see you at the shows!
  16. Hey Brian , saw you guy's rippin around out there, made me cold just looking at it!, my Tr. hits 70mph, but no way I'm doing it now! too cold !-you guys were moving like your hair was on fire!, Bob Devine from Extreme Angler , drove up from Wndsor to join me for 1 last kick at the frozen can, we boated 8 good smallies, and lost at least that many, Wed. was much colder and we boated 30, drop-shot doesn't work as well when the temps drop , the smallies are belly"s to the bottom , all our fish came on the Carolina rig with, Slammers, I'll post a season recap, a bit later-time to thaw!
  17. Nice muskie, my kind of guys fishing to the end!
  18. Well Bob, I told Karl it was a bad idea taking you bass fishing with us so often! I gues Karl forgot to tell you that you shouldn't "lip" Muskie! nice fish though, I hope the thumb is healed up for Simcoe next week-you'll need it!!
  19. I'm cancelling my trip to the artic!
  20. Well the season is winding down, this is the time of year I can finally get out with freinds, or take sponsors out , yesterday I took an old freind Joe Cutajar and his nephew Steve out for a day of Simcoe smallies, it was one of those rare calm days you dream about, and while the bass weren't on fire the action was steady with Mizmo tubes and Strike-Zone Slammers in 25-40 FOW.
  21. Hey Steve you had a real party boat going there today!LOL it was a great day to be out , unfortunatly not too many left. see ya next week. Mark
  22. If I could add my 2 cents guy's from a learning perspective, this is second to none, you get 2 days with 2 different pro's and you get them at there absolute best! I have had only positive experiences with my co-anglers, I still keep in touch with most, it's really rewarding for me to see a guy land a nice fish on a new technique that you just taught him or her, a lot of guys worry about the prizes, I'm sure WFN will not dissapoint, but the biggest prize is the knowledge and experience you gain! I realize that the expense is a factor , anyone who knows me knows I am just a regular working stiff, believe me if I can do it anyone can!
  23. Well looks like I'll see you at Simcoe and Gravenhurst Brian, yes $850 is a lot of money Terry, but it's an experience you probably won't forget-I get to pay $1500.00 each! no bdonkeys no glory!
  24. About 8 yrs ago, I was netting a big rainbow on G.Bay, for a freind -the hooks pulled and I ended up with 2 hooks from a Rogue in the corner of my eye, Lucky for me it they just missed the eyeball! I forgot my sunglasses in the truck that morning-well never again! I wear them not only for glare, but also as a safety precaution, I even keep an extra pair in the boat.
  25. Good job guys! nice fish, we went for walleyes today, will post pics soon. Mark
