Need some electrical advice around pot lights and more.

yes Teryy they grow down from the ceiling! -
great railway museum and if there are kids involved Thomas is there. As was said Jumbo. Niagara has more to offer at this time of year and the accommodations rates are low at this time. Most are gearing up for summer.

heard on the news this evening that a hut was seen on a pan of ice going out, they checked and no people in it! It's gone! hope they didn't build it this year.

Got a feeling this is going to be the earliest spring

Big Cliff have you been looking at furry things and predicting the weather? -
Probably "pushing" the huts to deeper water . . . Saves 'extra' costs.

as I was posting the pics came on my iPad! What an amazing job you did, it will last for years. I had a wood stove in mine with a flat top and our cooking times were in the minutes. take your time and experiment, you are so handy, maybe a small rack in the stove will solve your cooking problem. ie get a fire going to heat it up and when the flames die down insert a rack and do your cooking inside the stove. You can even bake cookies for the kids. a pot roast endless possibilities come to mind. I did veal in a wine sauce in mine!

I have pity on you my friend. I did it for many years! No family life what so ever. We would actually drive to Simcoe after doing the graveyard Friday night, get on the ice at 3 pm Sat and fall asleep at 9. Not a good way to go. Good luck with the hut, you've been at it for a while. Force to sleep good luck. A

Portable Electric Drill to auger through ice
ketchenany replied to Billy Bob's topic in General Discussion
I'm curious on this. I did a lot of ice fishing on Simcoe. I have an 8" manual and a 10" gas that was, well let's say one half is in 90 plus feet of water off of ORO 9, it's a long story! It took time to drill by hand and nothing with gas! Does the drill thing really work and for how long? Just asking? -
It's a small world indeed. My wife told me our daughter and husband are coming over as they have to go to a funeral home, I ask who? Did you hear about the snowmobile accident in Bracebridge? Well I chimed in, is it Tony or Rino? It was Tony, (Motion) apparently my son-and-law are extended family! One of Tony's other cousins has been at my home and have enjoyed a glass of wine together! Met Alex and offered my deepest condolences to his family. It was hard believe me, it was held in the same room where my mother was last year. May he rest in peace, He had a lot of close friends and family. Albert

Irish, you said it all, thanks.

How true BIG. I watch the occasional one and last Saturday while having a coffee every fish he hooked (not naming anyone) but it was the brand of hook, line and down rigger to net it. If the lake paid the bills he would have mentioned it but the background gave it away! Being in marketing, I cannot understand why they have a fishing show when MOST are out on the water at that time! That part really kills me and would like to know why you have show when the audience is out fishing? I'm ready can you get the glove on! Best line ever!

We sure are! Gadabout Gadis the fly fisherman was an earlier show and got me interested and then came "Red" with fish and 'moose milk' ! a TV special was done on him and his guests a few years back. maybe it's the reason why we are all here, and love the sport whether we practice it now or not for different reasons.

I have extended family in Rome and they got snow last week, I got an email that 60 km east of Rome where I was born they got two feet, a cold winter was +4 when I was there. The last time they had a decent snow fall was in 1956, my dad built a snowman for us and then we came here a few years later, seen it very year since! I started my snow blower in October, bought a NEW shovel and there they sit! Not an once of gas used. There is always next year.

Moose, I've been involved with Ontario Tourism for the last 17 years, your documentation on what Ontario has to offer for our visitors is incredible, from what I've read in your reports you are truly an amazing outdoors man. I'm sure in your photography/writings you have inspired many. And will continue to do so in the future. BTW from where I sit your writing is excellent to say the least. You sir have many skills from helping people, photography and outdoor skills which I'm sure you will pass along. For most us what you have accomplished will only be a dream, but thanks to you it surely comes to life when you check in. When is the book coming out? Thanks A.

FUN AND GAMES ON THE SHORE Water Babies: Splish Splash: Dig a hole in the sand. Line with plastic shower curtain. Fill with water for baby’s private splashing pool or ‘fish pond’ fun. My question is the "fish pond" is this legal?
