  1. I'm the same boat DG. So i decided it's time to rack the wine for a second time (made it in Sept/ Oct/Nov) . . . Cleaned / washed everything I needed and off I went; 110 L ready to be had in the next year or so. And yes, I sipped (taste tested) as I went along; but not enough so I couldn't write this post.
  2. Yes Photoz, I lived close by when I was young and that's where we picked up any outdoor stuff that we needed. haven't been in many, many years but one of these days . . . They'll be up in no time.

  4. I gut it, scrape the scales off, take off the head and tail/fins. When it's time to cook fill the cavety with onions and lemon slices and butter, salt and pepper; wrap in alluminum foil, add white wine and bake, meat falls off the bones . . .
  5. Merry Christmas Lew, and all the rest of the OFC family. have a safe holiday.
  6. Gerritt, thanks for the walk through the carburator assembly and cleaning. That was the first time I had seen it, let alone taken apart. All went well, no gunk in the hose but residue in the bottom of the bowl. Gave everything a good cleaning, put it back together and away it went :clapping: . Just a thought though that came to mind; this thing is coming on 20 years, still looks like new and intend to keep it that way (Craftsman 4/21) should I invest in some carburator parts for the future, just for insurance? Big Cliff may shed some light on this; since he is the small engine guru . . . To all a Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year. A
  7. I 've had my blower for the last 18 years; well-kept/maintenace/stored etc. {Sears model 4 hp/21" /1989} When we had our last snow fall it started fine (although I used old gas to start it and found a cracked hose which I replaced) and after it ran for a few minutes it would quit; and always when I put it in gear or try to move it it stalls. Bad gas !!!!! This morning I drained all of the gas and put in fresh gas ran great for a while and then it did the same thing!!! I can udjust the air/gas flow under the carb with no problem and runs great, but then it acts up again. I haven't changed the plug; belt is all fine; goes into gear with no problems etc. any hints what it could be. Love this thing my buddy for 18 years! Thanks in advance A

  19. Any battle that they fought on our behalf to keep us free is just as important as the three you have listed. My parents brought our family here because of the freedom that we experience today. We will always cherish what they did for us and will continue to support them. Just my two cents.

  25. WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) - A mourner who authorities say got drunk, took a hearse from outside a New Zealand funeral venue and outran pursuing funeral directors told police he was "going fishing" when they pulled him over. Police said the 46-year-old sickness beneficiary, who brought a carton of beer for the trip, told them he was heading to the coast to "check out the sea conditions." The man had been attending a funeral near the tourist town of Rotorua on central North Island when he allegedly stole the blue Ford Forte hearse. There was no dead body on board at the time. Snr. Sgt. Ian Campion said funeral directors chased their $15,200 hearse as it was driven off, but eventually lost track of it and called police. The man had the carton of beer with him in the front of the hearse when he was stopped by police. "He said he was wanting to go for a ride to (the coastal town of) Maketu to check out the sea conditions before going fishing," Campion was reported telling the "New Zealand Herald" newspaper. The man allegedly had been drinking all day at the funeral and was described by Snr. Sgt. Deirdre Lack as "intoxicated" when arrested. He has been charged with unlawfully taking a motor vehicle.
