  1. DON'T TAKE THE GARDNER it's under construction at Jamison; both ways DVP/404 would be your better bet . . .
  2. 1/4 tsp in a pot of stew or soup and people will beg you for the recipe. Cliff, but then they forget things!
  3. Solo, PLEASE go on another fishing trip! I read for a living when I'm home I like looking at fishing pictures.
  4. No it isn't, but I did correspond with that person, he's from Barrie. He was in my thoughts when this post was created.
  5. :worthy: :clapping: :clapping: That can looks like pre 1985, best guess. As Canada changed to metric back then. note 12 fluid ounces.
  6. You did get a free tank of gas out of it . . . Hope you find it. I put mine on a newspaper on the coffee table I then put a section of the paper on top of it and threw everything in the recycling box Thank sweet Jesus I had all of my documents scanned and on my computer.
  7. NOT SPAM I hope (if the mods want to pull it please do) I don't own the store just passing on some deals that may benefit our members who can get at them. And I don't guarantee that they have enough of them, but what I just saw it's local and they may have enough. I just got back (my wife works there and the manager is a friend) and they have a great sale going on until May 16 due to the make over. Here are some sample items, sorry I can't list them all and the flyer (only for the store's sales area) is to big to scan! 8. Asked if businesses were “gouging” if they didn’t lower prices, McGuinty said: “I’m just saying in a competitive world, you’re going to want to pass along the savings.” Does this man not know that the LCBO has very little or no competition!
  9. A wellknown member of our community passed away from the lyme disease not to long ago. An avid hunter.
  10. Read about your problem, interesting to say the least. A few years back I had a skunk under my shed and set up home, she was coming and going from the back of my property and the shed was close to the fence line. Nothing scared her, pet hair etc. I blocked it so she couldn't come into the yard, rigged up a siren (battery powered) so when she entered or left the den it would go off; usually at 10 pm and then at 6 am, nothing moved her until I drilled a hole in the floor an poured vinegar into it; she stayed about two days (the siren told me), I guess just enough time to move the kids! Never did come back but the den was plugged with steel mesh! Hope your friend finds a good home.
  11. Condolences Joefish. I still have mine (90) and going out to get her now so she can be with her grand- and great-grandkids. But every day that passes takes us one day closer to the day that we will also lose her. A reality that will come to pass for all of us.
  12. Same here Cliff, just looked out and light snow on cars and the furnace is going!
  13. I bet you never forgot to put air in your tanks!
  14. I have the same problem with a Black and Decker 12 volt (not self-propelled) but I cause the problem after I use it I don't plug it back in to give it a full charge for the next week! I got caught last Sunday and had to leave a small patch. As for the snow blower gunk in the carb etc. an easy fix. Big Cliff steered me in the right directing and it works fine. My neighbour threw one out brand new (MTD) (he can't change a light bulb) The first thing I would do with that machine is make sure there is NO FUEL in the tank or carb bowl. In fact I would remove the bowl and check to see if there was any dirt or residue in it. I would also check the fuel line and if it is cracked or brittle or had fuel left in it, I would probably just replace it and add a fuel filter to the line if there isn't one already there. As far as the rest of the engine goes, as long as it has oil in it, it should be OK. I cleaned it and put in fresh gas and off she went put tubes in the tires, new float and $350 in my pocket
  15. Here is a picture of it taken by Global News
  16. I have a Centro 6800 which CT kindly donated for services rendered. An amazing grill top of the line. If you want to check out grills visit Ontario Gas BBQ on Langstaff just east of the 400, some are 10 thousand + Irish summed it up just right . . . I've cooked over an open fire with wood (fishing trips) never tasted anything better especially when using pine. Keep them well maintained and they will last a long time. The gas that comes out of a $1000 model is the same as $149. Gerrit, your rib recipe still ranks #1
  17. My deepest condolences Cliff. Life can be cruel. Wednesday night my daughter came over the tell us that she was having a baby girl, her first; less that 24 later her godmother and a very dear friend of ours got the bad news that she has stomach cancer.
