  5. if doing the right thing is running over a blind deaf 21 year old dog 3 times, then I have nothing more to say. It was intentional he backed up and run it over . The lengths at which people will defend anything cops do amazes me.
  6. campaigning??? election 5 days away???
  7. well i truly believe this has little to do with guns and gun control laws. Something has changed dramatically in the last 20-30 years. Gun laws have changed greatly over those same years,so in point guns were probably more easily available 20-30 years ago and this type of event happening a lot less frequently. Today it seems to be sadly a weekly event. It seems like the same story everytime, some young person who feels like he does not fit in,maybe a little different, not a lot of friends, desperate to be accepted. How much pressure is on the young people of today to have a sense of belonging? With social media who some of these young people seem to truly believe the world revolves around,selfies,facebook,twitter,like,...the pressure to feel liked and popular has to be tremendous. Add in some of the parenting today, the helicopter parents, protecting them from everything in life, doing everything for them does not prepare them for the real world. They need to succeed but also learn what it is like to fail and learn from it. I fear this will continue and increase with or without tighter gun laws, society needs to change. Yes the guns did kill these kids but they do not fire or load on their own. It is hard for me to believe that it has to come to this for some of these people, but then again I grew up in a different era
  8. for my scanoe I use to use 2 2x4s bolted down to the roof rack with u bolts. It may have not looked pretty but it worked perfectly for about 5 years with never an issue. It cost me about 20 bucks for wood and hardware and 2 bucks for pool noodle for some padding. That was way better then 300 bucks for a crossbars for my sv6. They should work for a kayak also, maybe with a notched out padded support .
  9. on my way home on 69 north of Parry Sound where it is 2 lanes still passed a guy going opposite direction pulling a small tinny as we passed each other a gray bucket flew out of his boat striking my headlight lense and cracking it.It cost me about 200 bucks to replace,so yes make sure nothing is going airbourne on your journey.
  10. I always carry an extra pair of the 4-pin harness, one female one male in the boat, electrical tape,a tool to cut and strip wire incase one of the ends gets damaged or defective, and yes I have had to change them.I also carry a couple extra nuts and bolts that support my trailer bunks. I had one break on me once at Six Mile lake, had to drive into Midland just to get a bolt. Also I carry an extra rachet strap incase one of the transom tie downs fail(also had that happen once)
  11. it is a fishing board,so of course the fish, Dolphins
  12. Joe check out Cooper CS4s. I had a set on my explorer, got 100 000 k out of them. Great tire, smooth ride and very quiet. I replaced them last fall with a great deal I got on a set of firestone destination LE2s,another good tire but I liked the Cooper better. Also if you can go state side,I did even with the dollar at 75 cents,I saved well over 200 bucks on the set.

  17. My son and I rented a hut off him for a day about 2 years ago. Nice guy, i believe his name was Werner. The huts were very nice and very clean. He had them right in Callander Bay. We went late in the season, last week of it if I remember correctly. Fishing was okay we caught a couple small walleyes, about a dozen keeper perch along with several dinks,4-5 ciscoes and 2 hammer handles from about 7am-530pm. I would assume the fishing is much better earlier in the season in the bay. i thought the pizza was okay,we went in to pick one up for lunch.
  18. just spent 3 days camping on six mile, only the second time I have been there in the last 3 years. We use to go regularly back about 20-25 years ago. Anyways we boated over to Pretty Channel and noticed how incredibily clear the water is in the lake now. I also noticed tons of zebra mussels on the rocks below the water falls. If I remember correctly the water was never this clear years ago,or am I wrong and it was?So I would like to ask is the clarity from the zebra mussels solely? When did this start? Also has it had any impact on the fishing or weed growth? thanks
