Electric Motor Canoe Set Ups - What's yours look like?
bow slayer replied to Governator's topic in General Discussion
I had the exact same scanoe older one with the aluminum frame, the thing was a tank u could not hurt if u tried. The down side it was a tank and not the greatest to paddle. I strapped a 5hp nissan on the back and it was a rocket, probably a little dangerous too. -
my wife and I have had 2 bbqs the last 25 years, both Ducane, the one we have now is 10 years old and still works perfect. Too bad they went out of business they made excellent grills.

Lower lake Huron has some great salmon fishing and is a lot closer to you,may not have the numbers or size of Lake ontario but some good fishing none the less.

first thing on my bucket list is live long enough to see all my children succeed in life,2 are now both in post secondary education with my oldest finishing off his 8 month co op to what looks like will be a very great career,my daughter just finished her second year at university and has 3 more to go for her dreams to come true. The youngest is still in high school for 2 more years but has his plans for post secondary. Once that happens I just want to be able to spend some time travelling with the wife to see places anywhere really, and just one summer fishing NWO area, always been a dream.

Metal roofing v traditional shingles?
bow slayer replied to kickingfrog's topic in General Discussion
I just went through this, after heavy thought we decided to go metal, the additional cost was relatively closer then I thought. 12500 for metal and 8000 for shingles for 2000 square ft. backsplit.. Bargain with the metal roof company ,we did and got it for 2000 cheaper then first quote. We delayed to the fall for installation which also helped with the price. -
just to add stay away from the cheaper units, everyone I know that bought one has replaced it with a yammie or honda although one buddy swears by his Kipor.

I have a Honda eu 1000 w I picked up about 4 years ago just for camping, very quiet, starts and runs like a dream, does everything I need it too plus it is small and weighs less then 30 lbs.

Silly question. Can you hose out the inside of a boat?
bow slayer replied to Tjames09's topic in General Discussion
I always use the power washer on mine 3 or 4 times a season -
I have 4 stradics, one I bought back in 1991 or2 that still works beautifully, another one that I bought in about 2000 ,same thing still works great and 2 newer 2500 FJs I bought in the last 2 years hopefully they will last as long as the first 2. I also grabbed Saros on clearance from CT last month, hoping it is in the same quality level. Great reels I would not even consider another brand, although I had a Cardinal Gold Max that lasted about 20 years that was a great reel.

Check local Canadian tires they had Shimano Saros 2500 on clearance for 99 bucks regular 199. I know the Brantford , Cambridge and Woodstock stores did show some left a coup[le weeks ago. Just check clearance items on website and pick your store.

Any suggestions on where to would be great also I am in the London area. thanks

I picked up my helix 7 gps combo this morning from the St.thomas Canadian tire. I got them to hold it for me last thursday until I could get in and thank god I did they told they could of sold it 6 times yesterday alone. They still have a few other units left on clearance including an Elite 5 chirp. When I was checking other stores the Kitchener west store had a hummingbird 488 ci combo on for 244 which was also very tempting. -

Yes the retailer is the local Canadian Tire, clearing out all the sonars I listed and some others for cheap. Thanks for the replies.I seriously debated over the Helix 7 gps combo and the elite 5 and finally decided on the Helix mainly because of ease of use and the larger screen. -
My local retailer has a clearance sale on some new units. I am strickly a recreation fisherman, mainly northern lakes and a few outings a year on erie and st.clair. Looking for something very user friendly and simple. annual guys camping/fshing trip. Thanks Bowslayer!
bow slayer replied to alphaalpha's topic in General Discussion
glad everything worked out,it is a great bass lake. There are a few more lakes in the area that are a little harder to access but offer even better fishing, some have walleye and pike. -
if you still need one I am interested

how many did they score on USA in first game? they have scored 2 goals 5 on 5 in 2 games against the us
-
How much does Babcock hate Taylor Hall,Seguin goes down and he replaces him with Ryan O'Rielly...... Simmonds from the flyers would have been my pick,he adds size toughness and just plays hard he would been great against the usa....Hall would of been pick 1b,his speed and talent would of been useful
