  1. well not to be the negative one towards legend but 3 people I know personally have had problems with their legends, mostly with leaking hulls, and 2 of them complain about the fit and finish of the interior, just saying............. on another note definately max out the motor or at least as much as you can afford.I have a 16 ft s/c starcraft that came packaged with a 40 4 stroke,it is rated for a 75,in june I upgraded to a 70 hp 4-stroke,all I can say is WOW what a difference.
  2. I started like a lot of young guys in the 80s right out of high school to the big bucks of factory work. Well when the plant closed had to take a different route,I have been working in Health Care for the last 9 years,i like it and lots of work. If I were to do it all over again I would follow my father and become a teacher.Great job, good pay, great benefits, and a very good pension, but the best part I never even considered when he was trying to convince me SUMMERS OFF
  3. i am a big promoter of Restoule. Lots of bass and walleye, there are pike(mostly larger ones) but not great numbers because there are so many big muskies. It is about 3 hours from GTA.Not alot of pressure on any of the lakes(restoule, stormy, clear, bass, lennon)
  4. something to consider if you don't mind lots of other traffic, and company and going through locks and waiting then any of the ones on the trent system will do you fine. If you would like some privacy, more of a wilderness setting ,a lot less boating activity and some seclucion and no waiting at locks then Temagami would be a better choice, not to mention it has some pretty good fishing. For me it would be a no brainer,Temagami.
  5. Nissan has been making outboards for a longtime(1984 26 years). I have a 95 5hp kicker and it runs like a dream,I would never part with it.
  6. Oilers are crazy not to take Seguin. Hall is a very good player but Seguin has more upside they are comparing him to Sakic and Yzerman, and he is also a year younger than Hall.Hall is being compared to LeCalvier or Spezza type. IMHO Sakic/Yzerman>>>>>> Spezza \ Vinny
  7. Need a new tank for the grill, first time in a longtime. Just wondering who has the best prices on new tanks filled. I was thinking of trying Walmart or CT.What is the price these days of a new filled tank? Is there anywhere else with a better deal? thanks
  8. I have descent luck fishing 50-55 fow using dipseys and any kind of spoon( nk28,5 of diamonds, larger cleos). I also caught a few on f-7s,f-9s again on dipseys or pink ladies.Others that fish the lake have luck with the vertical jigging thingy.
  9. Well I am off on saturday up to Restoule for 2 weeks. I am planning on leaving around 4am. Instead of going up 11 I will be travelling up 69 to the Lavigne area. Will I encounter any security checks along this route? I am asuming 11 will be a nightmare and I am thinking there will be some security on 69 as well.Anyone have an idea what I will be running into travelling 69 about 8-9am saturday morning?Maybe I should leave earlier?
  10. answers for 2 and 3 2) you should have some way to oxyenate the water in any livewell. I use to have a homemade livewell(large cooler) and used a aerator that I bought at CT. It was 12V with clamps for the battery and suction cup feet,it did a great job keeping things alive. 3) short shaft 15 inches longshaft 20 inches.
  11. There are no gas motors allowed on cyprus but on adjoining Cameron there is. The lake water is very clear so I would suggest light line and smaller baits. We had good luck with smallies on leeches.Walleyes we managed a few on live bait in the evening, most of them were 12-14 inches. If you have a canoe bring it if not I think you can rent them from the camp on Cameron. I know they rent boats,I rented one from them a few years ago.Overall a real nice park with some great hiking trails. There is another part of the park farther up the highway, there is a small stream that runs through it and it was full of brookies,a small hook and small worm will do wonders, but watch out for the rattlers.
  12. Is it a 2 stroke or 4 stroke? I just last week bought a 04 Johnson 70 4 stroke which is really a Suzuki and from everything I have heard is a awesome motor. If it is a 4 stoke then it will be a Suzuki and a great motor.
  13. My daughter is 13 now and loves fishing. On our yearly camping trips to Restoule she gets up early in the mornings to wade out from the back of our site and throw top waters for bass while I sit in my chair and drink my morning tea.
  14. I will PM you later today with some details on the lakes and park

  17. sorry on both counts Hossa never scored to tie it,Hartnell scored to tie it for the flyers for OT. Oh yea the leafs are never going to see the cup anytime soon. Sorry just a long time suffering flyers fan.
  18. that spot looks to be the home of albino squirrels
  19. I run into a couple every year that grab my walleye or bass that have a leech in their mouth.
  20. thanks for the replies, wife had some goo gone lying around ,tried it, work great
  21. need to remove some old adhesive from a vecro strip on aluminum door. Is there a product out there that will make this easier than scraping. Maybe something that will soften the glue and break it down some to make it easier to scrap off? please post if you know something that will work. thanks
  22. I am heading to Chaffeys Locks so maybe I will try that area first.
  23. I am leaving in the morning and will have 1.5 days to kill so I am taking some fishing gear. Is there a few lakes in this general area to kill sometime fishing for walleye or pike. I will be mostly fishing from shore but will have a boat on half day. thanks for any info.
  24. I see them every july up in Restoule at those 2am pee breaks. I did notice something though it seems the cooler it is at night the brighter they are.
  25. McQuaby,Ruth and Wolfe Lake just south of NB. All just off 534.All have good fishing and would be ideal for your sportspal, here is a link to map. http://maps.google.ca/maps?hl=en&q=mcquaby%20lake%20&rlz=1R2ADSA_enCA370&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wl
