Bingo!! And OFAH is getting rich doing it. S.
-
Yes, exactly. They are great for trolling bouncers for that reason. S.

Also a hardcore waterfowler, born and raised as one.....i WISH I could kill something at 125 yds with a shotgun loaded with shot. Like I said, you got lucky, and found the golden pellet. It happens once in a blue moon. Nice job on the cormorant tho.....i dont care if they're 1000 yds as long as your killin em! S.
-
I don't doubt the distance, just that the shot has enough energy to penetrate at that distance. I would agree on the 3' holdover though LOL S.
-
Sorry, but at 125 yds with #2 lead, I call Bull. I know your a smart fella, but that's a long poke for shot. Too long. You may get lucky with the one golden pellet the odd time, but that my friend, is too far for lead shot. How much hold over at 125yds for #2 shot?? haha S.
-
Most guys shooting shotguns can't figure out where 40yds is, never mind over 100. I'd let you shoot right at me at 100yds, even with #2 lead. S.

Yep, those elms are tough....and twisty. Yellow birch isn't much better! Great burning wood though! S.
-
Is that 30 bush cords?? Holy moly.....did you do anything but cut wood this year? I moved in june, and the new place has a wood stove but it needs some work. Might not have it for this winter, but next winter for sure. Im gonna miss it bigtime!!

I went back to school at 32. Took environmental technology at fleming college. Been working FT permanent since graduating. Benfore that ran my own carpentry company for 10 yrs. I really miss building stuff, but my back thanks me every day. I still do a few side jobs to pay for my fishing and hunting addiction though. I dont regret going back to school one bit!

Someone has to jump on this. I WISH I could make it!!! S.

Big cliff for PM!!

People are just ignorant. Ive had tons of fishermen come right thru my decoy spread and just be jerks about it. I dont know where respectand common courtesy went, but you dont see much of it on the water any more.

This kind of stuff ticks me off so bad. Mostly because I am a local, and hardcore waterfowler, so it makes me look bad. Shooting towards shore could be considered careless use of a firearm. Thats serious stuff. Shooting from a moving boat is illegal, unless they were chasing a crippled bird. Even still, if it was a cripple, they should have got between the bird and shore, and fired away from shore. If they did indeed run up to the ducks and shoot them while still moving, they have broken a few regulations. Its illegal to have a firearm out of its case and loaded in a moving boat. Its illegal to chase waterfowl, and its illegal to harrass waterfowl. Cliff, pm me a description of their boat and motor. I'd love to see these tools out there. I have no problem letting them know what their doing is not right. This time of year brings out all the once a year duck hunters, and they just want to shoot their guns. After thanksgiving, just the true waterfowlers are out there. I was considering going up there this weekend, but I think i'll pass. I dont want to be involved in that chaos!! S.

CAA has saved my ass a few times. I have all my insurance thru them as well. S.

Do you have a strap that is vibrating in the wind somewhere on the boat? I have had that happen, and now always put a couple twists in the strap to stop it from vibrating. S.
-
Nope, haven't seen much in the way of mushrooms yet this year. Its been too dry I think. S.
-
I never leave home without spare bulbs, but never thought about a spare lense......I think I have a couple floating around here somewhere too. The red 100mph tape makes a great lense in a pinch too. Always have a roll of that handy! S.

People also make their own luck. I have never lived in the city, so I guess I'm biased that way, but a lot of my family does, and has forever. I guess what I'm saying is that people usually cause their own problems..... a lot of the time.....I understand bad things happen to good people, but there is no need to be paranoid about it. Stuff happens, life goes on...but don't change your life to avoid something that will probably never ever happen. S. S.

My door is never locked, my keys are always in my vehicle, and most of my stuff is not locked. I've never been robbed, mugged, or other wise. Never even been in a scary situation where the thought of using a gun crossed my mind. Sometimes people get what they deserve, or put themselves in stupid situations that they shouldn't have. I don't get why you are all so paranoid. I have guns, and have been raised in a family of hunter/gatherers/ commercial fishermen. NEVER, EVER in my life have I been worried about someone breaking down my door to harm or rob me or my family, and its never ever happened. We have a large family spread across the whole country in every province but quebec. Please explain why you feel so threatened?? S.

When you inspect your trailer....take a good close look at the frame where the spring mounts are. My trailer broke right off, under the spring shackles. I was lucky no thing serious happened. I inspect everything every time I have the boat off now, and every once in a while go through it all and make sure all the nuts/bolts/screws are tight. I also carry a whole hub assembly with me. Its a lot easier to replace the whole hub than the bearings. S.
-
I just plain dont worry about defending my house. Sheesh, some of you guys are paranoid! If someone breaks into my place they're going to be in for a big shock! I have nothing worth stealing lol!!! S.

Lost a big one at the net tonight on pigeon. A real heart breaker! 45"+.....it was in the net for a second......I still want to throw up. Magnum M&G spinnerbait. Gold blades, yellow bucktail trolled 4mph along a weededge on an inside corner. Good luck! S.

The only way to keep guns off the street is to bust the heads of the CRIMINALS using them in crime. Attacking law abiding gun owners is totally useless. The guys using any gun for crime need to be used as an example, not slapped on the wrist. S.

My guess js your axle is bent between the spring and the hub. I have used eastons on hwy 115 north or newcastle for trailer issues, but they're not exaxtly GTA......good guys though, and have always fixed me up. Great place to get a whole new axle too.....sometimes easier and cheaper than repairing one. S.

I bet youd get a lot more voters in this country if you could refuse to vote and make it count. I know I would. S.
