  2. Yep, put that sled to the bar for a couple seconds and your doing 70 MPH easily. Do it at night, while its snowing, on a trail you haven't riden.....asking for trouble. It happens too much..... Sad story. Sinker
  3. The fine is more than it costs to get insurance and a plate. What if something happens out there and you get injured, or worse yet, injure someone else......kiss your nest egg goodbye!!! For what its worth, just get the proper paperwork, and have atter. Sinker

  6. Congrats on your first trip on the ice. Just a warning, before you know it, you'll be looking at power augers, portable huts, and snowmobiles. You'd better warn your wife......the bank account is going to take a serious hit now.... LOL Sinker
  7. Hey, thanks for the report. I'm surprised there isn't more ice there. We were out on wed/thurs mid lake and there was at least 12" everywhere. I actually measured it with a tape too!! One spot had almost 15"!! Good on ya's for getting out there today, it was a nasty day to say the least!! Sinker

  17. Good to hear!!! Those adapters are a PITA. I wire mine direct, 4way to 4way. No adapters. i've seen them mess up a few times now. They're just another piece that will break along the line. Simple is better. Maybe get a spare to keep in the truck for next time it decides to blow up on you.......... Good luck tomorrow!!! Sinker
  18. Tim will do perch and trout/whities too BTW. He also does overnighters. Also, I have no connection with Tim Hale whatsoever. I've just fished with most operators on the lake, and find him to be the best. Is ok, you can thank me later Sinker
  19. I knew it would all be fine. I just had a feeling. Great news for sure! Sinker
  20. Keep the rope coiled inside the boat on the front deck. As it floats off the trailer, it can't catch. I launch a similar boat alone all the time. Nothing to it. Pick a method and stick to it! Getting it back on the trailer is the harder part, but after a few trial runs, theres nothing to it. Just find the sweet spot that your trailer likes to be in the water, and its a 5 min job. Sinker
  21. You guys get those northern fish, I'll get simcoe and the Kawartha's fish. Sound good? Sinker
  22. Right on!! Glad to see the kids had a good day out there!!! I know just how much work it is with two youngins out perchin. I don't even bring my rigs anymore........its all about the kids. I'm sure they're already asking when your going again!! Your right about the weather on thursday, it was a beauty day out there!!! Sinker
  23. You guys gotta get out and drill some holes!!!! I can catch just as many fish, with my spinning reel BTW Sinker
  24. I will say that alot of the crap jobs you see in new home construction are due to poor concrete work. Off level, out of square, poor quality concrete, bearing points in the wrong spots etc. I find the closer you get to the GTA, the worse it is. Not so bad as you move east. There are a couple good concrete formers out here. I've learned to stay away from some sites, just by checking out the foundations. Good forming usually helps make a better home. Some of the foundations I've seen, I wouldn't even touch. I actually made a site sign a waiver before I built a house for them, the concrete was that bad. I was on my way off the site, but this guy was almost crying to keep me there.......I know from the sill plate up, the house was solid, but under that......who knows. I've seen some crazy crap in my time framing houses!!!! I"m glad I came to my senses and went back to school!!! Sinker
  25. Really? Thats the first I've heard that one. Good on ya Jeff!! I hope it comes back to ya 10 fold!!! Sinker
