My hands are still burning!!!! We had our fun with the big fish this morning, then headed in to the perch grounds.......caught 48 keepers between 2 of us......you want to talk about fish handling.......WOW. At least its not -30 like last week!!! Sinker

Congrats on the new arrival Curt!! My neice had the same problems when she was born. Sick kids took excellent care of her, and she's now 100% fine. Shes a bit of a handful.....but health wise, absolutly perfect!!! I'm sure the surgery will go just fine. Those people at sick kids are miracle workers for sure!!!! Sinker -
Hey Cliff, I was out on a bike today. There were a few spots where it was working hard in the drifts, but its totally doable. I was riding double on the back. If we get this bit of mild weather, then the cold, it should firm the snow up a bit better for quads. No probs on a bike though. If your off during the week and want to head out, get in touch!!! Yep, the yotes around here are just brutal too. A buddy of mine arrowed a nice buck, went to get some help to drag it out, an hour later came back and his deer was very similar to the one in the pics!!! Its amazing how fast they'll devour something that size. I'd love to be sitting there with a 22-250!!! Sinker

I snell any hook with an offset eye......i don't like them offset eyes on hooks....I seem to lose more fish with them. Sinker

Not so much, but after a few years it might cause some damage. Rushes get wrapped up pretty good on mine when I'm duck hunting, but it hasn't caused any damage. Its a good idea to take the prop off when your winterizing your motor to check for anything around the prop shaft.....you never know what you might pick up. Its a 5 minute job......just make sure to replace the pin with the right size every time. Don't re-use the old one. Sinker

Met up with Buckster this morning for a little simcoe fishing. We hopped on his hot rod of a sled, and headed out. We werent there 5 mins and Tony had a fish on. He got another one in a matter of minutes, and things were looking good. I was starting to get worried, but hooked into our target .........a nice whitie. I thought we were going to get into the whities really good, but they just didn't want to play........or the lakers scared them off.....I dunno We were marking lots of fish, but most of them turned out to be lakers............not that I'm complaining We had a fun day out there. We got a few pics of some of the fish, but not all. Most went right back down the hole. We had to work for our whities, but we got them in the end. Heres a few of the lakers we got. Buckster with a nice fatty. Yours truly.... A couple hole shots..... Double limits...... It sure was a fun day out there. A little windy and cold and snowy, but we were kept busy Team 8 has a couple entries in the tourney as well Sinker

Its unburnt oil, leaking out the exaust port in the prop. If its black, it is, and if your gear oil is not milky, then your prop seals aren't leaking. For a 50:1 mix, put 20ml of oil in each litre of gas. Sinker
-
Are you sure its not just unburnt oil? Assuming its a 2 stroke....... Its fairly common. Gear oil stinks......prop seals are an easy fix though. Sinker

So, fishcakes next time around?? Or tongues and britches? Sinker

I've had them all. I have a little arctic cat puma 340 right now, and its been the most reliable sled ever for me. I just blew the drive bearings at the end of the season last year, and havent bothered to fix it yet. I put gas in it the other day, and she fired up second pull. I've had polaris sleds that were total garbage. Nothing but trouble. I've had a yamaha bravo that was ok.....but still had issues. All sleds break at some point. They all require maintenance every season. If your willing to keep them up, and know how to turn a wrench, they're not that hard to fix. I'd go for it if the price is right. Sounds like the guy your buying it from knows his stuff too, and that never hurts. Sinker

Wild eh? Its true though, they'll eat anything. My brother caught a 9lb laker one time up near port loring. We kept it, and upon cleaning it, found a 2lb smallie in its belly. Friggen unreal! Thanks for the report, Sinker

ATV Fine and Penalty without plate and insurance

I could be wrong too Fisherman.....but I understand it the same as Pinch. I know on a trail system, no passengers, on a road......no passengers......on the lake......go for it.......as far as I can read into it anyways. I don't have an ATV, but I deal with them all day long when the snow is gone. Sinker -

A trail is considered a road. -
If it was registered, it would for sure. Pretty hard to track down the owner with no numbers on it. Sinker

You can double ride on an ATV...just not on a road......now.....define a road?? A lake is for sure not a road! Sinker
