  1. I use this same saw almost daily to clear and maintain trails. I've taken down some HUGE trees with it as well. Never had a problem. Keep it sharp though, nothing worse than a dull saw, and nothing more dangerous!!!!! S.
  2. Any ducks around there wayne??
  3. Sure, but have you ever seen a cat retrieve a duck?? How about scare off a thief? Give me one good use for a cat?? Ok, they are a good independant pet. So, now you have this pet at home, that you can just leave alone when you want to take off.....nice. How about you just don't get a pet in the first place??? Enlighten me with one more intellegent cat fact!! I hate 'em!! S.
  4. That sucks balls Raf. Sorry to hear that man! I'll keep an eye out, but doubt anything will show up. Insurance is a joke too. You always lose with those jerks. Pay, pay, pay so your safe, then when you need it, you still get ripped off!! Good luck with the whole ordeal!!! S.
  5. Its not officially winter until the lakes are frozen. Until then, I"ll be out on the water every week. Once the lakes are frozen, its winter, and I'll still be on the lakes every week S.
  6. I've never been asked for it. I did however get asked to show my anchor one time. The OPP officer was "pretty sure" that my floating rope attached wasn't legal, and wanted to give me a fine for something. I showed him my back up anchor with a non floating rope, so he let me go with a "warning". I had to ask him if he wanted to see my boaters card!!! I guess he lost his train of thought with the floating anchor rope?? I dunno LOL s.
  7. Mike, I haven't been online for a while, and just read this now. I have goosebumps all over. I can only assume your doing well, and on the road to recovery. If you need anything, just say the word. I'll be looking forward to chatting with you soon!!! Take care bud, and keep your chin up. You'll have this whipped in no time! S.
  8. I'm biting my tongue on this one. First the cormies, then the seal hunt.........all in one thread.....biting harder!!!! A lot of the replies here are VERY uneducated!!! S.
  9. Ain't that the truth! I'm running Yokahama ice guard's on my subie. The thing will go anywhere. It even stops on slippery roads! Like already said, if your going to spend money on winter tires, don't skimp out. Once you run good ones, you'll never regret it!! I've always had dedicated snow tires, and I'd never go back to all season, or AT's for winter conditions! S.
  10. I've never fogged a motor in my life. My outboard gets seafoam in most tanks of fuel all season long and I change the lower unit oil couple times a season. I run the hell out of it from end of march, until I'm breaking ice in december. Usually twice a week at least. I change the plugs every couple years, and have the lower unit pressure tested every couple seasons. Maybe I'm just lucky, but you guys seem to spend way too much time/money winterizing your motors. You think just because its sitting for a couple months its all of a sudden going to stop working or some thing?? I don't get it??? s.
  11. Good stuff Rick!! He's a beauty!! S.
  12. My fuel lines looked brand new when i replaced them. I tried all kinds of stuff to make it run right, and finally broke down and bought the new line. Its been running like a top ever since. When I put the new lines on, I didn't think it was going to make a difference. I was about to change the coils. S.
  13. I'm glad you kept your cool with your neighbour. I would of had an earful for him. Does he even have his boaters license? S.
  14. Mine did the same thing in the spring. I did the fuel filter/line and it was gone. I also run seafoam thru mine twice a year. I put a full can in 25L of fuel, and let 'er smoke it out. I think the ethanol eats the old fuel lines. My new one I got said it was safe for use with ethanol. S.
  15. Nice pics! Thanks for the report! S.
  16. yeah, you can get them from any electrical supply store. Same batteries as a portable graph or flasher. LeBarons probably has them in stock, they usually do. S.
  17. Nice job for sure. I can't wait to hear the motor story now LOL. S.
  18. I'd look for an 870 supermag combo. You can hunt pretty much anything with the 12ga., not so much with the 20ga. Trust me, if you start into hunting, you'll really want the 12ga. You can hunt everything from grouse to moose with a shotgun, no problem. S.
  19. I hate these stories. Wear your lifejackets folks! They REALLY will save your life!!! S.
  20. You get what you pay for Buster. That suit will last you many, many years. S.
  21. Real nice Yote Jay!! Keep atter bud!! S.
  22. Yes, they are. I'm in the market for an Arctic armour suit right now. I'm trying to find a camo suit, and having a hard time locating one. Anyone seen one around?? They do float, they're water proof and breathable too. Only come in two pieces as well, so getting one to fit is much easier. They're a lot more comfy than my old mustang survival suit too!! Just the breathable factor alone is enough to sway me that direction. They're not CCG approved, but they float for sure. I always have PFDs aboard anyways, so no big deal. I don't think my camo mustang is approved either, only because of the colour!! Im tall and thin........my XXL mustang suit is just worn right out after 15 years of hard use. S.
  23. Good stuff!! I've never shot a pheasant! I've been getting the odd duck though S.
  24. Why is it everytime I need to use insurance I get ripped off?? I pay, and pay and pay, but when I actually need it, I still have to pay??? Where does my money go anwyays?? Biggest scam going IMO. S.
  25. Cliff, if your looking for a portable hut, you can't beat a flip over style. A 2 man flip is perfect for one guy, and not bad for two. The great thing is its soo easy to move. Just flip it and go. All your gear is safely packed away inside. I wouldn't go any other way. The cubes are a good deal, and they're ok if you just going to set in one spot and fish all day, but if you plan on moving at all, they're a pita. S.
