They are pretty smart dogs as far as I understand. Interesting how they toll ducks. S.

Molson has a nice ring to it I kinda like the "name her when you get her" approach to be honest. Post some pics when you get her.... S.

First step shoulda been bulbs, then ground, then vehicle. Your going backwards lol. You've been given great aadvice in this thread. You should be able to get those lights running now with ease. S.

Open lake vs. weeds , newbie looking for advice
Sinker replied to MichaelAngelo's topic in General Discussion
You were fishing the right area off sibbalds. The fish have moved deeper, so getting the big ones will be tough at this time of year there. The deep side is where I'd be. When he says shallow, he's talking like 2-3ft of water, choked with weeds, and probably 85 degrees LOL. S. -
Have you tried new bulbs? Sometimes even new bulbs don't work for me. Just sayin.... S.

Now that right there is HILARIOUS!!!! Nice fish Jamie! It was nice hooking up with you while you were here!! s.

Questions about deep cycle battery and charger
Sinker replied to rhymobot's topic in General Discussion
I've been using a nautilus deep cycle battery charger for 5 or 6 years now, just for my deep cycle batteries. I have no complaints. Mine isn't the smart charger model. Works great. S. -
If you had no power at all out of the vehicle, I'd say check a fuse, but since most of your lights are working, I think its a bad ground, or a bad connection on that circuit. Are you hooking the trailer to your vehicle when your testing the lights? Sometimes my running lights will do the same thing, then come on once I drive 50ft down the road. There is a bad ground in there somwhere that grounds out thru the hitch once I move a little. If I don't have the trailer hooked to the vehicle, the running lights won't work for me. I ran a separate ground right from the plug to each rear light to cure this problem. S.

Do you have a dog? Anyone gets close to my boat, and the dog is all over them. Not to attack, he just wants to go with the boat every time it leaves the driveway LOL. Seriously though, a good dog will deter most thefts on your property. I have a lab that would only lick you to death, but he will bark if you come on our property un invited every time. Works like a charm. S.

You will do well doing that. No worries, there are lots of eyes in there. All year clases, and some real big ones too. My GF got an 8.5lber the last time I was out there on a worm harness trolled at 1.5mph on a mid lake weed edge. Do that and you will get fish all day. S.

Peterborough City Councillor caught with too many trout
Sinker replied to Grimace's topic in General Discussion
IMO, they knew the regs, and still kept what they did. They probably do this all the time, just got caught this time. Guys do this all the time, I've seenn it over and over. 3 fish limit on lakers?? Never even heard of it around here. I consider all laker lakes to be a 2 fish limit with a slot on every lake, until I have read otherwise in the regs. I would be pretty embarrassed if I was him. S. -
Just go buy one.....they're not expensive, and worth every penny. S.

The musky fishing in elephant and baptiste has really gone down hill since the pike got in there. There are still some musky around, but they seem to only be few and far between. However, they are big IF you get one. That is a big IF! Elephant lake lodge has a good ramp and docking. If musky is what you want, that is the place to launch. Fish the cabbage beds in the middle of the lake with big baits. Worste case scenario, you leave catching a zillion pike, and the odd bass. If your lucky, you will connect with a musky. Baptiste, being a much bigger lake than elephant, is much harder to fish, and they seem to be fewer in there as well. Better walleye and there are also lakers in there too. S.

I've had pressure treated bunks on my trailer for at least 10 years, and a pressure treated floor for 6 anyways. If there is any reaction with the PT lumber and aluminum, it has to be very, very minor, because I can't see anything going on. Best part is the wood isn't rotting. I'd say your old bunks were PT as well. S.

Its a little wonky for me too. I am missing some text, and some images here and there. I just have little icons like Fisherman said for reply and quote. S.

I can only assume that was an incidental catch?? hahaha Not bad, for a bass!! S.

I got a couple from BPS. They are what I use. S.

Terry, I got an EZ lube axle with hubs and bearings for a good price from Eastons. They are out of the way for you, but I think the axle was built somewhere closer to you. Maybe give them a call and see what they say?? My axle is awesome, and worth every penny. You need a hub face to hub face measurement, as well as the spring center meassurement. What is the capacity of your axle now? When I replaced mine, it was an up grade to a heavier axle. It came with all the hardware to install it as well. Good guys, and great product. Wouldn't hurt to give them a shout and ask. I had mine custom built and delivered in 3 days. Easton Truck Cap Sales 3279 35 & 115 Hwy, NEWCASTLE, ON L0A 1H0 905-987-2277

All I can picture from this report is the look on your faces when that pike slipped out of the cradle THAT would be a great video. Looks like a good time!! S.

Ok, just found some time to upload pics. Here is Bob with our biggest eye of the day. Conditions were brutal, boat control was pretty near impossible, wind howling, with a bit of spitting rain here and there....nasty. Good times! S.

I guess its officially summer now. Sorry to hear this, but not surprised either. S.

It was a pleasure meeting and fishing with you Bob. We did talk A LOT, and the time did FLY by out there. Too bad the conditions sucked, but still had a great time. Your more than welcome back anytime, sir! I have a picture of you holding the big fish of the day, I'll have to post later today for ya! S.

Nice fish James!! I'd be happy with one like that thru an 8" hole in the ice Nice to know they are in there. Did you take any measurements on it? How much you figure it weighs? S.
