  1. I have a reel spooled up with the sensation too, and also find it pretty good. Have you tried Pline? I like the fluoroclear. Its only fluoro coated mono, but you get the best of both properties. I like it for certain applications, but never tried it in 20lb test, so can't say how it is. It is soft though, that's what I like about it, but you also get the abraision resistance, and lower stretch than straight mono. S.
  2. Is your house two stories? I'm assuming it is. I've done this job before, and your right, it is a HUGE PITA, but it is a very important one that you need to get dealt with asap. Its such an easy thing to do right from the start, but once you have to go back and try to clear them its a real mother of a job. Good luck! S.
  3. Can you use braid, with a longer than normal leader? I think I know what you want to do, but I'll wait until you say it to see if I'm right S.
  4. Well, I guess I'm lazy, but I've been just tying an improved clinch knot, back to back from braid to leader. Never had an issue at all. Never slipped on me, and never broke off either. Works for me, and its really easy. I tie all my braid with the same knot too. Never had it slip, ever. As a matter of fact, that is the only knot I use for everything! The good ole fishermans knot! S.
  5. Well, I hope I didn't ruffle any feathers. I'm not planning on leaving here, never was. I was just asking an honest question, that I thought was going to be an easy one to answer. Sorry I asked, but it did bring up some good points. I trust this site as much as any site, so please don't think I don't. I was just a little concerned when I asked a simple question, that there seemed to be no answer for. I understand the Bull you mods must go thru here. Personally, I couldn't do it. I would just delete them all and be done with it S.
  6. No, we're not being forced to be here, but we can never leave!! Weird how that works huh? S.
  7. Hi Cliff! I'm still smiling Art. Just curious is all. Can't seem to get a straight answer from anyone though Like I said, I could care less. I'm not going anywhere, and have nothing to hide, so it all makes no difference to me. If someone wants my info, just ask. The problem I have is if I wanted to delete my profile, I can't. That seems fishy to me. S.
  8. Well, on a site I'm a mod on, our users can delete anything they want.......including accounts. Just sayin...... S.
  9. I have absolutly no issue with guys keeping thier legal limits. I'll be the first guy to admit to being a meat hunter, but I do it legally and adhere to the limits set out. I haven't caught a pike in the kawartha's yet, but I know they are making thier way down the chain. I will kill every one I catch just for you S.
  10. How do I know your not kidding??
  11. Its really no big deal to me either, I'm just curious what is going on here. If someone chooses to delete thier account, they should be allowed to do so. Then a mod turns around and asks if a member would like his account gone?? Doesn't add up inside my little brain for some reason. S.
  12. Ok, so your assuming, or someone is giving you inside information. S.
  13. I thought accounts couldn't be deleted???? Now I'm really lost
  14. How do you know so much inside information?? I know nothing of members coming back, or pretending to be women. How did you find that out?? Seems to me that my information isn't that private here. Only a select few get to know whats "really" going on. S.
  15. Maybe I don't want them to have my information if I choose to leave the site? If I've chosen to leave, there is obviously a reason for it......maybe its because they have my info and I don't want them to??? Am I out to lunch here or what? I dunno......... S.
  16. Whether they are invasive or not is irrelevant now. They are here, and they aren't going anywhere. There is a limit on them that anglers are supposed to follow, so they should be following them. The season is open all year, so there is plenty of opportunity to get a meal of them, anytime you want. These same people who keep over limits of crappies, are also keeping over limits, and under/over slot walleyes, don't forget. They are also ignorant to other fisherman, and property owners, like yourself. I'll send them all up to your area, to fish off the duck blinds.....sound good?? Edit: have you noticed a decrease in walleye since crappies got in your lake?? I sure haven't, but I have noticed a HUGE increase in fishing pressure, and poachers!! S.
  17. Well, if the first account was deleted, there would be no second account..........I'm lost. I should be able to delete my own account if I see it fit, shouldn't I? Its my account after all.......right? This is getting fishy IMO. S.
  18. A set of cheap booster cables will work for ya too Mike. Just hook the batts up and away you go. S.
  19. You can get the proper cable to attach them at CT in the car audio section. The bigger the better. The second pic is the way. S.
  20. Crappies spawn late guys. Crappies spawn with the bass. Water temp is into the 60's. This spring panfish action is all pre spawn. They chase schools of baitfish into the small backbays, and trap them in a small area where they can pick them off easy. That is why you really have to work an area over good to get them sometimes. I've seen it where if you don't cast into a 6ft circle, you get nothing, but if you get it in that spot, you get one every cast. they school up into tight packs, and trap minnows in a small area so they can pick them off easy. The problem at your spot is fishing pressure Cliff. Those fish are getting pounded day in and day out, and everyone keeps thier limits. It drives me nuts. The same guys, day after day after day, taking home limits and then some. Ignorant, greedy fisherman. Pisses me off to no end. S.
  21. I have been having a good run with my two 27 series Walleye 1 deep cycles. First time I've owned them, but they are great so far. This is the 4th season on them. I also have a 55lb minn kota and run mine off two batteries hooked up in parralell. You will notice a huge difference with two batteries running 12V, over one. My two hooked together will run all day long trolling 1.5-3mph on my 16ft aluminum. With one battery, I get about 4 hours going steady like that, depending on winds. For working a shorline, or just using it for boat positioning you can go a whole weekend no problem. I have an 27 series energizer that I use for a transom mount TM for back lakes, and its been ok, but not even close to the walleye-1 deep cycles. I run a 36lb minnkota off it and get about 5 hours of steady trolling at 2mph on a 12ft aluminum. Thats not bad, but the walleye 1 batts last a lot longer per charge. My batteries are also stored at the back of the boat, and strapped down tight to stop bouncing. That really makes a difference IMO. S.
  22. I'd contact polar Kraft too. It doesn't really look "that" bad to me. Those welds aren't very strong. It doesn't take much to pull them loose. Can you see the transom move when your under power?? For a boat that is only 9 years old, it should be fine still. My boat is 18 years old and solid as a rock. I'm not a fan of welded hulls though. I'd never own one myself. S.
