  1. I think it has musky too. S.
  2. I'd just use a javex jug full of concrete for that little rig. If its too windy for it to hold, you shouldn't be out in a 10ft boat. S.
  3. I don't understand why you'd cheap out on 5ft of wire either. Sure, it will work, and seem a lot better than the old one, but for the price of 5ft of good wire, I'd be doing it right. If something is worth doing, its worth doing right!! S.
  4. Awesome! My son kicked my bbutt last weekend.......bigtime!! Ya gotta love it! Mine is big enough to clean the fish though, and he cleaned almost all of them too.........hehe. S.
  5. 10/4......I should really read the manual I guess. So far I only have one waypoint saved anyways lol. S.
  6. What's wrong with saving them on the map chip? I'm new to this, help me out here..... S.
  7. Yep, save them to your map chip, and just swap the chip. S.
  8. Just go. Rice has been great! I'd join you, but I plan on being out there with my son anyways. I'm not sure how this cold and wind are going to effect the fish, but last time I was out (thurs) they were on fire!! Husky jerks, taildancers, ans bucktail jigs all caught lots of fish. S.
  9. I'd run bigger wire myself as well. I have 4 awg On my 55pd, and its less than 20ft. Wire size makes a big difference. Just because it works, doesn't mean your getting everything out of your motor. S.
  10. I've caught eyes on all sorts of odd stuff. Lots on spinnerbaits, caught a few on topwaters ( zara spook, and skitter pop), huge musky jerkbaits, musky bucktail spinners, big musky bucktail jigs, and right down to 1" tubes for crappies. At this time of year, eyes are very aggressive. If you put it in their face, they will take a poke at anything! S.
  11. Good thing I don't carp fish, because I know where those pics were taken I can almost see my boat in the background S.
  12. Uh oh.......skunked on the first outing is a bad sign! Glad to hear it went smooth otherwise. I fully understand the whole trolling/console thing. S.
  13. I open my pool early every year to keep them, and the mosquuitos away. I don't mind the toads, but the skitters drive me and the dog batty! Great shots! I'm surprised you got them in daylight. Mine seem to start going at dusk, and all night long. S.
  14. Good stuff! Love the back lakes adventures! S.
  15. I've caught lots of walleye on spinnerbaits. Musky sized spinnerbaits mind you, but still, they will hit them for sure. S.
  16. To check the pressure in the tank, shut off the pump and run water until it stops. Get a tire pressure guage, and check the pressure in the tank, the same as you would a tire. It should be at 28psi. I don't think that's your problem, but it doesn't hurt to check it. The tanks are known to lose pressure, aand "flood" themselves. I think you have an electrical contact problem. Next time it doesn't start up, see if the conacts are open or closed on the pressure switch. If they're closed, your not getting power from the light switch. I'd replace the light switch anyways. Just cheap insurance. If its not working properly it could cause a fire. Better safe than sorry. S.
  17. Weird. Did you take a look at the light switch? Maybe its burnt out? Is your pressure guage always reading zero? You might want to replace that as well. That's all I'm coming up with right now. S.
  18. Yes, sydney......I don't know where halifax came from..... S.
  19. Or you could invite someone who knows what they're doing out on your boat to show you the ropes. Its not hard. Where u located? S
  20. Similar weekend to mine, only I have 4wd still didn't have much luck with the fish. Tried 2 separate rainbow lakes. My son hooked a couple on the first lake, but lost them, and we only had one bite on the second. The trout seemed to be off for some reason. Couldn't ask for better weather, or better company though! How were the bugs over your way? We had lots of blackflies, but they were mostly just buzzing. S.
  21. If you want a real east coast vacation, hop on the ferry in halifax, and head over to NFLD! The real east coast is on the island! You have to go there to understand how different it is! You will not regret it, I guarantee it! S.
  22. We're talking about the kawarthas, not muskoka, and a lake with no pike. S.
  23. Typical bass boat owner. They can't catch any real fish, so they resort to OOS bass! Give 'em a break, they just can't catch real fish!! LOL S.
  24. You'll be fine with it wired into your existing panel/battery. S.
  25. Take care of youurself bud!! You'll be back up and running in no time! S.
