  1. Yep, just leave them alone guys. Your only making work. Your deck isn't going to last any longer by doing any of that. It may look a little cleaner, but keeping it up every spring cuts into fishing time! Lew, your deck looks mint! I can imagine how nice its looking with the new rails! S.
  2. I open my pool early every year just to keep them ouut of it. It gets really loud when you get a bunch of them, and spring peepers all together! Right now I have this dumb woodpecker who keeps pecking on my sat dish. Its like a gong going off every morning at 445am! I'd rather have the toads and peepers! Even my neighbours are complaining lol S.
  3. Scores! Mix that with some turkey tail and you'll have all sorts of creations S.
  4. Your deck looks fine. I wouldn't touch a thing. S.
  5. I understand its not the actual ministry who makes the decisions, and its all politics, but I still feel safe painting them all with one brush. The whole ministry is corrupt, just like every other government agency in canada. Its all about the mighty dollar. They'll slit their own throats to make a buck or make themselves look good. Makes my blood boil! S.
  6. I still say swap out or clean up the pressure switch. I assume this pumps water from the lake, and hasn't run much/ all winter? Contacts are probably bunged up. A cleaning will probably do it, but they're cheap to replace, and easy to do. Most likely a 20-40psi switch, you can find them just about anywhere. If you need anymore help with it, pm me and I'll send u my number, or get it from tony. S.
  7. MNR could care less about our resources. I fear for my kids heritage when they get to be my age. Nothing but a bunch of clowns. S.
  8. Yep, must have a 1" patch of skin, and easily countable. Basically the same as transport, only no need to be measured once at home if there is a slot S.
  9. When you replace the foot pedal, but two. I usually find Lebarons has the best price. As much as I hate the pedal on my power drive, I love the unit. S.
  10. Sounds like the contacts are worn out on your pressure switch, Meely. You should be able to get a new switch at most hardware stores, and install it yourself. Shouldn't take you more than an hour. You might even get away with just cleaning the contacts off. S.
  11. I've seen these many, many times. Harmless. Just eat the fish, no worries. S.
  12. Best thing I've ever put on PT lumber is transmission fluid. No, I'm not kidding. It lasts forever, looks awesome, and provides great protection. S.
  13. That big cliff feller is a good man in my books! I don't know of anyone else who offers to help so many people! Glad to hear you got the trailer up and running, and I'm sure Karma will fill your livewell with a nice bunch of dinner fish too! S.
  14. I won't be out this weekend, but I spend a lot of time fishing eyes on rice for sure. The lauunch is 10 mins from my front door, so evenings after work during the week you'll find me out there. See you on the water S.
  15. Goos stuff brian. Looks. Like a great day. Fresh trout and fiddleheads,, a sure sign of spring S
  16. I would bet you could just winch it right on the trailer. Maybe soak the bunks with dish soap first, and get a log or some sort of roller under it before you start winching. S.
  17. We had a rabbit outside in a pen that coons got to. Not a nice thing to see. Those coons are smart! S.
  18. I don't think there is a thermostat on that engine. Mine says its a thermostat cooled engine as well, but mine has no thermostat. Its pumping water as soon as its running. Be careful if you have no water. Like I said, I'd have that lower unit checked out. Seals and impellor anyways. Shouldn't be too much. I had mine done over the winter for $350, and thats a 40hp. S.
  19. Yep, don't waste your time with bass when you can catch musky and eyes all day!! S.
  20. Sounds like a fun day! Happy BD Andy! S.
  21. I don't think yammy makes an air cooled outboard, but I could be wrong. Run some seafoam thru it. It might cure your fuel starved problem. Other than that, put it in water up to the cavitation plate and make sure its pumping water. If it was me, I'd have the lower unit pressure tested, and new impellor installed regardless. Cheap insurance. S.
  22. It could even have a litter around there somewhere. You could feed it though.....lettuce, carrots, celery etc. I'm not sure it would eat dog foog, probably not. Just spread snacks out on your grass where you generally see it and it should eat it. S.
  23. Dan has explained this quite clearly. I'm not sure what there is to not understand. The best way to avoid line twist is to use a quality inline swivel on your line. Spool it whatever way you want!! S.
  24. Got a jake this morning. Nothing to brag about, but a great eater! S.
