  1. I will guarantee if you report it to animal control, or the by law officer, they will patrol the park, and you'd better also have your dog on a leash. Just sayin..... S.
  2. By law guy will charge her with dog off leash. No biggie, but might keep her dogs leashed at least. Is your dog off leash as well? A boot in the ribs will usually stop a dog from attacking.....I'm not saying to hoof it as hard as you can, just a poke in the ribs, enough to get its attention, and not injure it. Most likely they are just playing anyways. S.
  3. Is that a one man scout? S.
  4. I also have a buddy who uses mostly FA decoys. They will work fine for ya. #1...set up for the wind....at your back if you can. #2.....get hidden. #3....dont move. #4....shoot straight....pick one bird. Good luck bud. S.
  5. Do you ever get any info back on those tagged fish? Kinda like a banded goose/duck...its always the info that amazes me the most. S.
  6. I wouldn't use it either, unless its a heavy duty cord. The bigger the wire the better. A set of booster cables work good, and they are cheap usually. S.
  7. Wow....those are some big pike! LOTS of them!! NICE!! S.
  8. Awesome eh? I also fished with Vic. Great guy. We had a blast! Pretty awesome when a fish that size jumps, eh? Lol Thanks for sharing the story, sounds like it was a worthwhile trip! S.
  9. That was a great read. I enjoyed it all. Thanks for sharing. I gotta get up there sometime. Beauty spot, with a great variety of fish! S.
  10. Whats in this lake for bait? I catch a lot of walleyes in shield lakes suspended over deep water chasing bait. Usually in the 20-30ft down, over much deeper water. Inline boards with deep diving stick baits. S.
  11. Im the same with musky, although I do target them once in a while when I get sick of catching walleye after walleye Good luck, if you have any questions, feel free to ask, bud! S.
  12. I mainly use a MH rod too. Just preference. If im throwing really big stuff, heavy is better, but for the most part, MH gets it done fine, I find I lose more fish on the heavy stick for some reason...I think the softer tip of the MH keeps the hooks pinned. S
  13. You think fishing is addictive? Wait until you go waterfowling!!! Good luck, and post a report! Ducks are my true passion....i dont even touch a fishing rod once duck season opens! S.
  14. Congrats Simon!
  15. Congrats Simon!
  16. On the east coast we catch sea run brook and brown trout that the locals call sea trout, but they are still browns and speckle trout.....if that makes any sense lol. They live in the salt water, and come to fresh water to spawn. S.
  17. Great trip Mike! I did the same thing in June, minus the fishing part!! I'm jealous! Great road trip though, eh? Amazing country we have here, and so much more to see!! Photos are awesome, as always! Thanks for sharing! The best part of this whole thread is your clean bill of health! Congrats on that battle man!!!!! S.
  18. Bring it on! Nothing like a good storm!
  19. I rarely wear one. If I have it on, im with the kids, or someone else who doesnt know how to operate my boat. If I feel unsafe, I just dont go out. My grandfather fished the north atlantic his whole life and never put one on, ever. I should wear it, because I wold hate to be "that guy" who spent all his free time on the water, and drowned because he didnt wear a PFD S.
  20. Sorry for your loss, Matt. S.
  21. Geeze....that's a big boat to just disappear. I hope he's ok. S.
  22. Yep, set the two outsides on #3 setting. Thats the advantage of dipsys.....they get your lures away from the boat. That said, I've never caught a laker on a dipsy. Tried many times with no luck. Mostly on shield lakes, but still, no lakers ever on dipsy's. S.
  23. Fishermen are slobs. You see it everywhere people fish. Its the shore fishermen that do it the most. Disgusting slobs. I can't wrap my head around how anyone who appreciates the outdoors, can leave their garbage behind. It blows my mind. S.
  24. Yep, just inside the outside strakes. S.
  25. I believe TJ Quesnel is the boss, and I hope he answers your questions. I've been around here for a long time. About 2003 I started using the internet, found this site, and been here ever since. S.
