I'm sorry you guys have had a rough go, but I'm still not taking the vaccine. I don't feel I need it, and I don't want to add that crap to my otherwise perfectly fine immune system. I live rural, I stay to myself, and I don't like most people, so this isolating thing is nothing new to me. I can keep this up forever and not even blink an eye. Now with this lockdown, i have to worry about GTA'ers invading my small town, and bringing this crap out there. Its a gong show. s.

Of course this is what the media will promote. I know people who have told me personally they had worse hangovers than what their run with covid was. The worste part was loneliness. You never hear the good stories, always the negative. I will take my chances. I have a healthy immune system, and keep to myself. I live in the country away from hot spots. My chances are good, and I'm willing to take them. S.

I finally got one too. Don't tempt me. S.

I re-did my boat 14 years ago. I painted it myself. The prep work was very time consuming, but it makes all the difference. This time I can just give it a clean up, a light sanding and wack the paint to it. The prep of bare alumiinum takes a lot of work, but it is well worth it to do it right. I am tearing mine apart again this winter for another rebuild, and paint touch up. This will be the second time in a 26 year old boat. Where are you guys sourcing your vinyl flooring? And what products are you using to fasten it? This time my boat will be getting a full 3/16 aluminum plate floor, and mostly aluminum storage, with vinyl front to back and top to bottom. I plan to rebuild the transom this this time, not that it needs it, but whats the point of doing everything but the transom at this point? Might go with an engineered product, so I never have to touch it again. After 26 years of fishing and hunting out of this boat, i have a few ideas, and changes i am going to make. I'm kind of excited, and anxious at the same time lol....Everything on it has been upgraded in the last 4 years; electronics(2018), bowmount (2020), engine(2019), trailer (2017)......its time for a makeover. I considered buying new, until I looked at the prices. Then considered buying used, until I looked at the prices, so I will rebuild what i have one more time, and get another 20 years out of it. I love that boat! We have been through some serious stuff together LOL S.

Just not so nice crossing cracks, and when the snow is deep. Otherwise, the rubber tire machines are great. They can carry a lot of gear right on them as well, with no sleigh. I like that. I cross big cracks pretty much every trip, and I do a lot of icefishing, in many areas of the province, so for me personally, a sled is the way to go. You won't be taking your wheeled machines into back lakes, or single track snowmobile trails in most places north of hwy 7 for most of the winter. Bikes are generally harder to start in the cold as well. Sleds are useless in the summer though, so that's a big advantage!!! S.

Been doing it for 26 years with my boat. No problem. Starcraft aluminum. She's been beat on hard and still great! S.

The lake is constantly changing. This isn't the first time its seen waves like that.....or the last. Its not even considered a 100 year storm. S.

I blame my whole musical life on John Prine. Likely my all time favourite writer and musician. RIP!! -
I can bring some monday, if you still need them? S.

I've had it fresh before, and agree, it is a little more mellow. I'm a fan of the blow your mind stuff, but you can't beat fresh out of the garden! See you Monday, Cliff!

Yes, not fun. A few years ago we were out between the islands from beaverton. The main lake wasn't totally frozen yet. A crack 20ft wide in places opened up. The huge pan of ice was drifting for the open water. It was an adventure. I don't know how the bikes got off, but we jumped it on sleds.....barely lol Fun times! S.

Yep, all valid points. I can run my sled on pretty much glare ice with scratchers and a fan cooled engine. I just need a few rough patches to throw a bit of ice/snow in the tunnel for the sliders. Doesn't take much. Most cases my carbides makee enough for the sliders. Nothing worse than returning from fishing on your atv to find a crack has opened up 2ft. I don't like crossing cracks on rubber tires. On a sled, you don't even notice it. Carry ramps on your bike. S.

I'd love some. Love horseradish. What do I have to do with it? I will be in lindsay on monday. S.

If your primary use for the ATV is ice fishing, get a sled. Way better. S.

I just went through the same dilemma. I went with a new ipilot. S.

Nice rig Terry. I'm looking for one too. Hard to find. That's a beauty! I wish yamaha still made 2 stroke fans. My 2000 venture 500 is awesome, and bullet proof! S

Why does nobody ever bring a fishing rod?

No yak for me, but I admit, it reeeeaaallly ticks me off that I can take a kayak out on any lake I want right now, but i cant launch my boat. Some of these rules are ridiculous, and that is one that i am really sour about. I drove around checking things out yesterday for 3 hours. Not one boat launch accessible to get a boat in the water, however, the 6 kayakers fishing out there are ok? Stupid. These guys are a lot more risk than a guy in a very seaworthy, and stable boat. Not to mention they were all together in a group, and used the same launch I would have used with my boat. I'm sure they all sat around and shot some bull afterwards, and most likely helped each other load their crafts at the end of the day. Whats safer and better for the community? That, or me taking my wife and kids for a boat ride and maybe catch a couple fish for dinner? And just so you all don't start with the travel thing, and stopping for gas, and coffees and all the rest of that stuff.....I live 15 mins from 8 different boat ramps. I am an essential worker who has to drive to work every day, and keep gas in my truck regardless. Stopping for coffees and take out is the last thing I want to do in these times. I can make better coffee at home and my cupboards are full of great food. I am very aware of whats going on, and diligent in my own safety, and more so the safety of others. S.

Yo! You back in Ontario? I will offer a rusty beer cap, and a swig of moonshine S.

Any drug store will have distilled water. S.

I swear by 31's too. They make a big difference. I'd be scared with a 24 series running electronics all day then having to start my main. I just use flooded lead, and have no issues. Take care of them and they will take care of you. I'm going on 4 or 5 or maybe even 6 seasons on mine now, they owe me nothing. S.
