What route are you taking through Ontario?

There are LOTS of people getting rich off Youtube. Lots. And very rich. These guys are just class acts, and do it because they are passionate about it. Sponsors and advertisers are likely knocking on their doors constantly, but if its not a product they use, and know works well, they turn them down. Every time an ad shows up on a vid, they are making money. Then theres the sponsorships, and perks from everything else. To say Weibe is barely making ends meet is hilarious.Do you really believe that? Look into it more. The average youtuber gets paid $10-$50 per 1000 views. So you figure these guys are all getting hundreds of thousands of views per video, so thats pretty good money when they are putting out a video every week. If that's making ends meet, I'm dirt poor. At the right time of year, there is a lot of fishing. Tons. July and august are awesome. Both salt and freshwater. I think your mistake with the trout was fishing the brooks. The ponds are where the trout are. I know you can only fish a certain distance from the road, so that plays a part too I suppose. I have a personal guide there, so I'm kind of blessed that way with the fishing May just isn't a real nice time of year on the island. It can be downright nasty, cold, and wet. Oh, don't forget the wind. Lots and lots of wind! S.

Gas water pump right from the lake. Just guessing.

You should move then .....lol....that's not acceptable! S.

I haven't missed a week of fishing yet. You gotta get off your butt, and go. Sitting here complaining doesn't do anything to help. Put some gas in the truck, pack 'er up with your gear, and go for a tour. You won't know unless you go. I've seen so much false reporting online this year, its rediculous. One person says theres no ice, i drive, and find plenty. You won't know if you don't go. I can't really complain, i've been out lots so far, and have 2 major 5 day trips coming up that are going to be amazing!!

I don't think they want to be on mainstream TV. They are making plenty of money off youtube, and they can do things the way they want, with no infomercials. I prefer youtube to be honest, TV sucks. Its all fake Bull. S.

Awesome mixed bag there!

Cod fishing isn't open then. There should be lots of icebergs though. If your going up to gros morne, you will need winter gear for sure. I'm from the very northern tip of the island, and we have gone on snowmobile trips for canada day. I'm not even lying. Bring your warm gear and waterproof boots. S.

Bring your winter gear, and rain gear. Your gonna need it. I'm not even sure trout season is open then. You might get something off a wharf somewhere, but that's not a great time of year for fishing. I guarantee you will see snow still then. S.

Omg those oysters made me drool!!!! Can't beat anything fresh from salt water like that! OMG I'm starving now!! S.

Um...I think maybe its the operator there bud. I have the same auger and it burns up ice like no other. Ive won every hand auger race I've ever tried, even against a jiffy, with that auger. Its either you, or you did something to it. S.

I find Gibsons finest doesn't make me get the "whiskey rants" like some other brands I don't care what anyone thinks, and my wife fishes with me 90% of the time so no problems there. She'd rather fish than shop.....any day. She also hands me my ass pretty much every time we hit the water lol S.

It can be a tough nut to crack, but I have always had good luck there for walleyes. I love going there. S.

No, you are thinking of Big Gull lake. This one is near Minden, ON. S.

Some of the best times of my life involve a campfire and a guitar. We have a fire pit in the yard, and a woodstove in the house. Pretty much guaranteed a fire here 75% of the time. From oct-may it would be very odd to NOT have a fire going. S.

That's a lot of heavy kit to haul around. Too much for me. I don't even have a trailer heavy enough to get it to the lake LOL..... S.

At least a 1/4" thick. The discs on the sleigh I posted above are 5/8" and we replace them every couple years. Hard to see them as they are painted, but they are there, top and bottom

I think nautilus and Helly Hanson somehow merged into one. I have a helly hanson that is pretty much identical to a nautilus. I hate wearing it lol......and haven't in years. The reason most of these floater suits that aren't approved don't make the cut is the colour. They are required to be a bright colour (red, yellow, orange) to comply with the standards. Even my camoflauge mustang suit is not approved, and its essentially the same as an orange one. These other companies (striker, frabile, clam etc) also have to pay major bucks to have these suits tested, and that adds to the price out the door to us, the reason an approved suit is pushing a $1000 out the door. They just aren't warm. I dont find them warm anyways. Wear some quality warm gear, then a float suit, and you will feel the difference right away. Always feel damp in a foater. S.

I've fished gull a fair bit, but I go on my own, and have my own machine to travel the lake. I can't say anything about the operator, but he is just in miners bay, within walking distance of the parking area. Theres some decent lakers in there, but most are small. You get the odd whitie, and herring cruise through fairly regularly. Also has ling.

Yep, I could see that happening. I could also see that sleigh getting you buried LOL.....What do you think it weighs? You're going to want to make sure that the trails are wide enough for it where you want to go too. I know, on the lake you will be fine, but other places you could have problems, like trails getting to the lake etc. The issue I see is if you did get stuck, as hard as it may be, that sleigh will be a monster to unhook and move by hand. That's why wood is the way to go. Wood also flexes, instead of being rigid. Heres one we built to haul logs. Hauled hundreds of cords out of the bush with this sleigh with a 250 elan, then upgraded the machine to a yamaha V540. Its crazy how much weight you can load on that sleigh, and still have control of it. I'm not saying theres anything wrong with your sleigh, just offering some advice from experiences I've had pulling heavy things in snow and across lakes. S.
