  1. Just a thought but could that be the tip of the proverbial ice berg? It may be bigger under the ground. Make a nice rock though.
  2. Just be careful of the no-stretch on the braid.. I would suggest the rubber "lines". When a king hits if the line is too tight it won't break but the hooks might bend. mono has the stretch to withstand a good hit. My only concern with the 50# is the cost, and if there is an issue you better have a knife ready to cut if needed.. Nothing worse than getting hooked on bottom and the darn line won't break. Have fun and good luck
  3. 50lb for dip's? hope your going for the kings. That's very heavy braid for dips
  4. Is at the falls reserve? Lots of bass holding in deep holes. Trout are there but the water might be too warm now. Worms, small spinners, crayfish etc. There use to be a stocked trout pond but not sure if its still there. In the town of Goderich you can do some casting of spoons of the pier there are fish there but in low numbers. It should be flowing nicely with all the rain.
  5. If with Shipping / duty / taxes its cheaper buying from the US I will. I love the local tackle shop and don't mind a buck or 2 difference but there is no way I am going to pay 50% difference in some of the larger items. Greed will only get you so far before I decide it's not worth shopping at your store.
  6. LOL, 4 people on the boat casting every direction your much more likly to find fish they can't escape Great to see you and Shorty again. See you next year
  7. Really great to see you again Carol. It was too long. Glad Sydney had a great time, the smile on her face said it all.
  8. Yeap another GREAT year.. Can't wait till next year.. Great seeing everyone again and a few new people. Just a few of the pic's.
  9. If only I could catch multiple Walleye over 63!!! -- to release them of course... See you on the water
  10. Covering ground can't beat the worm harness.. anytime of the year
  11. I try to eat the small ones, let the big ones do there thing.. Nothing like a shaker on the BBQ
  12. Loved the underwater pics, I will have to try that this year.. Congrats on your Cancer Free status.
  13. I should be camping in http://www.pickerelpark.com/. I have stayed there before camping and not too bad. Nice people. Good location etc. Bad points (well not on the site it self but you get the idea) Wind coming across the bay makes a boat launch tough. There is nothing else close so make sure you pack for everything. They have a store etc but nothing too special.
  14. Lake Huron looks even lower this year,, Up near Kincardine.
  15. Now if beer can's would only be cheaper than bottles..
  16. I am about 80% going unless the next 100mph wind storm decides to make an appearance, I have nothing firm planned yet but I should be in hay's bay. Its always a good fishing trip.
  17. Wow, Very sad news, Loved his post's and his personality. R.I.P
  18. My lights were working just fine until you ran into me
  19. One feature I had with my old radio that I really miss with my new one was the ability to scan preset channels. For example I would program 16,68,72 and it would just scan all these so I could hear friends calling me. My new one only scan's 16 and one other preset. It also has a feature to scan all channels but in the Toronto you pic up everything and this feature is a waste of time. My 2 cents
  20. Great report, Good day fishing always clears the mind.
  21. Wish my kids had the chance to go down to the local creek and catch froggies. Ahhh memeories. I may not use them as there is lots of replica baits out now but if you like that type of fishing go for it. Canadian Sportfishing ~ At least it's from Canada
