Was just just looking out the window and a van was parked facing the wrong way. A mother and daughter, I'm assuming, were in the van when the mother got out and grabbed my neighbours cat. She threw it in the van and was about to drive off. I ran to my front door and started yelling at them as they drove away. The passenger window was down and the cat jumped out and ran up onto my lawn as they drove away. The cat sat there and looked at me as to say thanks for a couple of minutes and then ran back home. Unfortunately I didn't get a license plate number. Unbelievable what some people will do.

Oil leaking through the exhaust from fogging it? It doesn't take much to get a puddle that size, especially if it's been sitting there for a few months. Water could just be some condensation from the winter months or a bit of water from the engine intake. Was the motor fogged and the lower unit oil changed before storage? Is it storage in a warm area or cold? What colour in the oil?

That will hurt Gagnon's I'll still shop there as well but with my dollar getting tighter I'll be looking for the best price. Been shopping at Gagnon's for over 20 years but have found the service and selection to be lacking in recent years. They did have a good ice fishing section this year though. I noticed that the pricing was close on some items (like electronics) but quite a bit cheaper on other items (like clothing, tackle, of course booze). Went to the Cheesecake Factory as well. Only waited about 10 minutes for a table, service was a bit slow but the waitress did make a point of apologizing. I thought the food was good but somewhat expensive for a lunch. I wouldn't rush back but would go again if the wait wasn't too long.

Well I ended up staying home and working on the boat. It appears to have survived the winter quite well. Was hoping to drop it off for repairs today but things went a bit slower then I hoped. Put the back out the other day and it's just not quite right. So the arrangements are made to drop it off next Saturday and hopefully I should have it back by opener. Fingers crossed. If not I'll be looking for a spot in someone's boat. Good luck to those heading out tomorrow.

Well my buddy just canceled for tomorrow and I'm trying to motivate myself into going. Who is going and where are you heading out of? Tomorrow is my last kick at the whities and lakers. How bad is the water on top? Can't see running the sled but maybe I'm wrong. Or maybe I should just start getting ready for the soft water season.

Better to have gone alone and had the break then to not have gone at all. (imo) I've done many solo trips over the years and do not regret any of them. Some fresh air, great scenery, a fish is a bonus. Nice to hear the truck is working well for you and that the trip went OK.
