  1. Hi all, Went down to the lake with my son to check the ice….close to shore there was 2 feet of snow on top of 3” of ice, only 2” was good ice…. Not even gonna go further out to the bit that froze later. On the way up to the house Jack asks if the Bravo still runs, so we went and dug it out from the back of the garage. Hadn’t run it for 2 years, but 10 pulls or so later and she fired up! Dumped 10” of snow last night so we took it for a spin in the yard………

  2. Absolutely Kelvin, there's no comparison when driving in snow between summer tires & good winter tires and people that disagree with that are the ones I like to stay away from on the roads in winter. I remember a time many years ago we were driving up a steep hill on a country road covered in deep snow. I had a front wheel drive Buick Riviera with winter tires on all 4 corners and that car was amazing in snow. There were about 6 cars all over the road that couldn't get up the hill. I just wound my way thru them and climbed the hill like it was a warm summer day LOL

  3. 4WD is great, they slide just as well on ice as 2WD 😂

  5. I don't care if other drivers can get going in the snow and ice, I'm more worried that they can stop.

  7. Hung a couple trail cams an hour S.E of town five days ago. A nice sun set with a chinook arch. It's a little dark to see the Rockies except for three peaks and if you look close a big mule deer doe in the lower left. Also a mule deer doe and fawn.

  9. When the safety of others is in question those that think this way need to be governed. I see MANY 4x4's in the ditch in the centre of the highway because they think that 4x4 is the magic answer. "Flipping the switch" does not make one invincible no matter how good a driver we think we are. BTW I drive a 4x4 truck so I consider myself similarly.

  10. I would never do without snows on my vehicles including my 4x4 truck. The way I look at it there is no extra cost other than used rims or black steel ones as my summers last twice as long seeing as they are only on for the 6-7 months of the warm season and my winters last just as long. I live in the country and my driveway has a decent slope and I rarely have any issues getting up with the car other than the odd time after a fresh heavy snowfall where I might have to take somewhat of a run at it. Most of the winter I just pack the driveway down with my truck.
