  1. My 2006 Merc EFI 75~4 stroke clearly states in the owners manual not to run anything over 87 octane, given that ethanol free is not an option in that grade I had my marine mechanic install a fuel/water separator on the gas line just ahead of the engine, many years ago. That along with always using stabilizer I've never had an issue and last year I was running on 3 year old gas without a hiccup for a better part of the summer. I believe it was money well spent.

  2. Triploids are eating machines and should never be considered for world records. Just my opinion.

  3. Barry's post of his dog got me thinkin that many of us have man's best friend and it would be neat to see some of your dogs. Here's a pic of "Maggie", Great Pyrenees we rescued in September after our 15 year old white Lab passed away. Maggie is very affectionate, but also quite nuts! Pic is of Maggie sitting on my son's girl friend. Yah, shes a big dog! HH

  4. I'm ok with them being recognized in their own category but not against natural fish.

  5. For conservation areas within an hour Mountsburg close to Guelph or Island Lake in Orangeville. These places get hammered pretty hard so expect a pressured fishery and plenty of hammer handles. If you’re willing to stretch the drive to 1.5-2 hours to the Kawartha’s, namely, Canal, Mitchell and Balsam Lakes hold some good pike. Reef

  6. I totally agree BillM, It isn't natural. I would call it genetic engineering, if in fact that's what this fish is. All they do is eat and grow. As I mentioned earlier I wouldn't be complaining if I was to hook one and land it. Maybe Colorado Fish and Game conservation did stock lakes but only certain ones with these fish for experimental purposes and or for the angler. Angling is a big deal in Colorado so I would expect they know what they are doing. But it still comes down to the fact that if it isn't natural it should not be entered into the record book, and I don't expect (or hope) it will be. That's my opinion.

  7. Looks like a "triploid" fish...in other words its neither male or female. Its sterile and can't reproduce, and therefore doesn't waste any energy in making eggs or milt, or engaging in spawning behavior...it just packs on the pounds. Just don't put the image on a can of Bud Light or Kid Rock will shoot it up....LOL

  11. Hey Head Hunter, great suggestion, thank you, and of course thanks to all that posted pics of their four legged friends. I really enjoyed them. I love dogs more than life itself. Here's my boy Trooper. He loves watching tv when I am upstairs on the computer. Not just any show, it has to have animals of course, and a couple collages. My best friend on the planet.
