  1. Ok, so what are we supposed to look at, the white pail, plastic bag, the black thing with a silver knob end or what?

  2. At least a couple of lighters as your guaranteed to lose the first one before you even use it. A hatchet. Some kind of camp knife. Couple pairs of cheap cheater glasses. Something to read on rainy days or if the kids ever give you a moments peace. Aspirin because they probably won’t.

  4. That would get a bit warm, I think they are powered by a butane flame. 😲 But a Thermarest is a good piece of kit. The long version, that fits your whole body, not the short one! 😉 Doug

  5. What we've been using at the trailer is an oil burning lantern filled with a citronella based oil. It gives off a decent amount of light and it does help with the bugs. What I've been doing is to light the lantern (outside) about a half-hour before we go to sit out on the deck. Leaving the wick set a little high to produce some extra smoke. Once outside I turn the wick down to get a nice flame. I agree that the green coils work well; but my wife can't stand the smell of? Dan...

  6. Always set up a tarp. Even if it’s just over your picnic table. You’ll appreciate it at some point!

  8. can't stress good tarps enough. Sitting in bug shelters is not my idea of fun, unless the bugs are horrendous. People can come and go without the zipper ritual. Shelter from shade and rain, and can be placed over the firepit, if high enough. and ropes/lines. bring way more than you think you'll need. you'll regret not having more when you can't tie things down haha

  9. I like to have a floor mat in front of the tent door. Can openers are frequently forgotten.

  10. some of these motors also have a thermostat. I thought I had a problem once because mine wasn't peeing out either...waited around 30 seconds and it started. That was in some cold conditions, gotta admit I was very nervous letting it run those 30 seconds!
