Got an email this morning and well , I knew this high hook would catch and it did. This is my buddy laughing Loon. Go figure it would take another loony guy to catch a nice fish like this.
Well Karma really is a good friend. After drooling over pictures of small lures for Crappie and other panfish I made a wish and Misfish sent me a care package in the mail. I am amazed at the creative mind and the talent in his hands that found a new home down here in the South.
Thank you once again Brian for the more than generous gift and I will report how well they work after the thin ice melts and allows me to go fishing again.
Art
had a PM for this link, might as well share , I find it good , covers most lakes with decent detail http://fishing-app.gpsnauticalcharts.com/i-boating-fishing-web-app/fishing-marine-charts-navigation.html?title=Ontario+Lakes+boating+app#5.56/44.905/-77.115
Thanks guys. Big Walleye by all accounts I think. I will say I am not sure I catch that fish without Panoptix to be honest. It was only a subtle change in my presentation that I feel changed the fishes mood into biting, which you could visibly see on the graph. I know everyone wants Livescope but I have the regular PS-22 transducer (cheaper) and actually like it better. The sonar returns are larger and better suited for deepwater lake trout jigging. I have learned more about fish and their behavior in the last year with that technology than in the last 10. Its truly a game changer when it comes to any jigging application.
Cheers everyone.
And look what I got today, CHRISTMAS PRESENTS all the way from the south. Heck, they were still warm.LOL
Thanks Art. KARMA is a hell of a thing aint it.
The pins will be spinning freely this coming fall.
It has to feel good knowing something you made is working as you hoped for. Congrats to your buddy on his catch and you for supplying his new go-to bait.
Dan...
I got a package in the mail today, it was anticipated but turned out to be way beyond my expectations. Brian, you are amazing! If these don't catch fish, dinamite wouldn't! Thank you so much!
That's a great fish for sure!!!!
Times sure have changed though 30-40 years ago, that wasn't an abnormal fish for Nip! It is a good sign though, that they've had a chance to grow and hopefully reproduce. Again, it is a good sign that Nipissing is on its way back to being the great fishery that it once used to be. Let's just hope that the ministry can keep a handle (If possible) on commercial and (Continue with our support) with sport fishers on the road back? Be proud of that fish you have worked for it!!!
Dan.
