Decided to hold off on the burnt ends as this was a big brisket and I would of been all brisketed out after eating the slow cooker flat. I spice rubbed it and put it in the oven for 30mins to sear it then in the slow cooker for 11hrs, turned out pretty good, was so tender it started to fall apart on the bend test. I'll post up some pics when I do the burnt ends on the smoker. Diner and 3 days of sandwiches for lunch.

This snow is not gonna help at all either, damn insulator. Would have made a fair bit of ice over the next couple days, getting cold. I think I'll still be starting my hockey rink down at the lake this weekend.

It's been a while but I finally managed to get a new post up Meal planning is always a big discussion point ahead of our trips. Generally we are looking for a blend of good food, east prep and a budget that doesnt break the bank. Oh man the world we live in right now. Let's look at this quote from the article: . "It's basically the same idea here. We don't want people going out for non-essential travel, period. The point is, you go out, you get your exercise, you enjoy nature, you enjoy fishing, but then you come back at the end of the night." Uhhh....don't they realize they are causing MORE travel? The guy who stays the night travels THE EXACT SAME amount as the guy who just goes for the day! Once there and once back! Now, since they are not permitting you to stay, you have to travel more if you had planned to fish a couple days...drive there, drive home because not permitted to stay, so drive back out in the morning, then drive home again.

I think anecdotally, one can make the assumption that masks, combined with social distancing, and an uptick in the flu shots, have contributed to much lower cases of the flu. I hope someone is doing a study on this because it would be good data to have. Also guessing that masks might be something people will wear next flu season.

sounds like my dad's stories from his time in the military. They had finally ordered a pile of new trucks to replace the WW2 issue trucks that they were using. My old man said they spent more time trying to get the brand new dodges running then they did training lol. He said they ended up doing a lot more walking then driving ahaha.

Were looking at buying a home online too..Im a self employed home renovatior so ill work with family down there and a good realitor.. combined with a home inspector qere not worried in the slightest .. Were looking for a fixer upper with land and a cottage, also a fixer upper.. Nothing beats sweat equity when you can do the work..All i need is a good foundation good well and septic and im not worried about much more then that..Sure is exciting!!
