  1. No...proof is in the fact that the most expensive fly fishing rods you can buy are in pieces. Typically for bass rods 1 piece rods are higher end and there’s an argument to be made about the parabolic action of them. you won’t notice a difference except the two pieces will be easier to transport around and the eyelets will be crooked lol

  2. Yeah it was likely a traditional thing and you did well not getting in the way of a couple of Sicilians. LOL You'd be swimming wit da fishes if you had. LOL I love old traditional foods. My dad has pasted but I still remember the recipes he taught me. The best comment I've ever received was form my sister. " it taste's just like dad's" Dan.

  5. I see Fortinos has whole pork shoulders for 99 cents a pound until Jan 20th, also whole pork loins for $1.99 a pound for slicing into boneless chops and roasts. Probably the same price at all the Loblaw's chain stores possibly. edit also 20 yards of sausage casing for $6.99

  7. Oh Man I didn't think a down homer/herring choker would have the patience to do such nice work. Glad you proved me wrong. Now go find yourself a homers dance and forget that you left the rock. LOL All joking aside every time you post a pic of your latest work you can see the evolution of your skills!!! Dan.

  10. Get yourself a VPN, they're not just for businesses. All your data is encrypted and encapsulated and you can appear to be from servers all over the world so geographic boundaries can be bypassed. They are a must if you want to do any torrenting. Most the top rated rated providers also keep no logs whatsoever so your privacy while traveling the web is assured. I just signed up with CyberGhost for $2.25/mo for the next 3 years on a promo after being with PIA for the last few years. That covers up to 7 devices so you know that your phone data is secure as well. Can't get better value for your internet security.

  11. Thanks for sharing man. Reminds me of my one and only fly-in with my brother. My brother then was well enough to go (cancer) and we loved every minute of it. The adventure in itself was great; but being there with my brother on his last adventure will stay with me forever. Again thanks for bring back some fond memories Dan..

  12. Lew and anyone else; I understand the frustration of someone saying that they will do something and then not come through with it. Independent small business is cutthroat. You do it now or someone else will; the average (Lew I don't know you but you seem to be above average a reasonable man) client isn't willing to wait regardless of quality of workmanship. So these small business guys will overbook themselves and do what they can as long as they can. Yes it pisses off some people but the guy who "promised" to do the job has fed his family; all the while playing catch up with the work he's promised to do. Running a small business is hard work; work at times you don't get paid for. Just last week I had a number of jobs booked into the shop. Three of them were no shows; which left my techs with nothing to do in the afternoon. Now should I have overbooked the day knowing I couldn't finish all the cars? Or be honest and only booked what we could handle in one day; IF THEY BOTHERED TO SHOW UP? It's a two way street and most times it's the small business that gets cut off at an intersection. Sorry but that's my take after 40+ years of running a small business. Dan.
