  1. As a guy that owns an 18 footer I say go with the 20. 😉

  2. You only get 1 chance to go big. Big trolling motor, big electronics, big talons, big trailer. And the most important thing put the recommended HP on the boat. Don't buy the show special.

  3. Do a search on “I want a bigger boat” and then do “I want a smaller boat”. And there ya go. You’re welcome, I just saved you the value of 2 years depreciation on the 1875 😁

  6. With my son heading to the west shores,I decided I would fish with a couple of close buddy's. We met on the river bank at the same time. Had some good conversations . Amazing what we have in common, and somethings we debate. Myself,is just a sitter and listens mostly. Gets real excited when he hears the fish jumping. On the other hand, I, is one that likes to debate everything. Like ,should we have walked all this way when there are other spots that we can park at and a very short walk ? Myself pipes up and says, what are you talking about ? Listen to all the fish jumping around. Of course, me, being the just fish and shut up and enjoy the things nature had given us guy says , were here now and we are not climbing back up that hill. Both myself and I ,were very thankful me brought the rope. All three of us have bad knees and the rope will sure makes things easy getting back up that 40ft hill . Me,myself and I, got our gear ready. Still using that mojo rod from John Francis .Coffee and eggs for the morning breakfast on the ready. Once we could see our float, ( seems we all have bad eyes ) we began fishing. Didn't take long before our float went down, set the hook and we are all excited. Fish was landed. Great net job by myself, and of course,I, tried to take all the credit. We ended up going 1-6 in the few hours we were there. Fun time with a couple of close buddy's.

  7. You fish alone a lot eh... 18.75 in that boat is plenty enough space and vessel to handle you and others on the days you'll choose to fish. Unless you're guiding or in dire need to fish GBay, St. Clair, the open Erie or 40 acre area on days it's kicking up, you don't need all the costs included with the 20. It'd be overkill. Gonna presume you're predominantly a caster? All that deck would be mint for you and a buddy or two. But, if you're a troller more often fishing alone or with just another angler then this boat is all wrong IMO. Same if it's just you and kids. Wouldn't matter the size either, for a standard Pro-V would have a number of advantages in comfort, safety and even musky-fishability. Two best all-purpose, aluminum musky fishing boats in my opinion if you can afford 'em, any normal-ish 18-19 foot dual consoled boat, kicker or not, or, the same length boat in a big tiller giving up comfort for some boat control and fishing style advantages.

  8. In the 80,s, I was doing it almost every weekend when they were in thick. Loved it when the lakers came in. Was a blast to fish there . Never did I even think of bring up a fish.

  9. Good point! I launch at some sketchy spots. We generally don't worry about getting the boat "just so" on the trailer. Instead...haul it out as is, and then with the buddy I was fishing with just give er a little nudge to centre. With a 20 foot boat (and corresponding larger motor!) you won't be doing any of that.

  10. Between health issues and my last bike had more torque and power than I enjoyed. I had an FZ07 that at 80KPH in 4th I could put on 1 wheel when going to pass someone. That is no longer a fun ride for me. This, I can get on and enjoy and my back isn't screaming mad after 50k. And I can drop into full speed in 2 to 3 seconds going from a 60 to 80k zone. PS, Still FAST as it's a 900cc the one I bought.

  11. Right on Mr B. When I sold my house in 2004 I had a guy come in and said you can’t ask that? This is what is worth! I call another and we hit a “market value”. For the area. The sign went up at 1 pm, It sold at 10 pm, asking price! 30 thousand more than the first guy that wanted the listing. if the price is right, things sell fast, gouge and you own it. But then these days I see prices going up because to the “Heath excuse” to that is wrong. Yes it cost more with safety concerns but Some businesses take advantage. Today I went to buy a box out peel and stick tiles, need for a back plash in the laundry room, 10 tiles to the boxI need 13. Find a few loose ones on the shelf and take 3. At the cash at HD she takes the loose tiles away from me. We can’t sell them loose they have no bar code. Why? we send them back for a credit. figure out price per tile? NO! I did not believe it. So if I needed 3 more I have to buy a box, and they have to pay to ship them back and end up in the garbage anyway. I will take this a bit further up the ladder on Monday. We are a country of waste. And to boot at another HD Store when I asked for them, the house of ‘orange guy’ tells me we had lots and dumped them today! So where are they going? Shipped back or dumped? total waste!!!!
