40 odd years ago we were fishing the Whitby pier when my Dad tripped over something and fell in the lake. It was a cold night so he was wearing a heavy coat and darned near drowned before we were able to pull him out. He had dry clothes in the car but he'd lost his wallet when he fell and we couldn't find it in the dark water. Probably an hour later another fisherman scooped it up with his net and came looking for Dad and returned the wallet with everything still intact. I've always remembered the honesty of that guy.

Kadri is a diver !! knee on knee yeah right. It was left shoulder making contact and then below the knee while debrusk was moving his leg out of the way.

Another Ontario right of passage growing up. Whether it was L Ontario, Simcoe, Huron, Niagara R. it was the same drill. The only thing was the fights that broke out over someone crowding their spot.

You sure wouldn't drive around with expired plates in those years, no names mentioned ?, they also all expired on the same day, not spread out throughout the year on birth months.

The colour of the plates used to change every year too, blue plate with white letters one year then white plate with blue letters the next. Always thought that was such a waste of money.

I hope you and yours are safe, I saw on the news that a 3 year old boy was killed when a tree fell on their house. So very sad!?

So while we all piss and moan about a slogan change on future manufactured plates, who was the premier when they "wasted our money" and changed it from the perfect "Keep it Beautiful" to the current "Yours to Discover"?? Maybe we should just go back to no slogan...

LMAO, The good ole days. Hours spent cleaning, and it wasn't just mudder. We all pitched in. No sleep til they were cleaned,bagged and in the freezer. Thank goodness it was only a one night affair.
