Bought a kayak

So, I've always wanted one and now that my inlaws have a cottage in a small lake paradise I decided to start looking. I got a call from my wife saying that there was a big sale at Sail so I drove over to Sail in cambridge and saw one that I was looking at $200 off.

 

So I now have a Pelican Maverick 120. A nice 12'. I was told because of my size and because I'll be fishing from it, a 12' was necessary so I have a more stable base.

 

Can wait to take it out!

It's sitting in my sister in laws garage since mine is a make shift wood shop that has zero room in it

Look out for sore ribs after the first day of paddling. It's sort of akin to curling, first time and you didn't know you had muscles in some places.

and the stroke is more punching out the hand vs pulling. pulling = very sore muscles. and have fun, kayak fishing is extremely popular

Get some flippers and just spread your legs over the side and flip. LOL

I only wear a size 10 Kayak.......just saying..lol

 

Enjoy the boat I have a 10ft fishing kayak that is a joy to hop in for a quick blast on one of the many farm ponds.
