[email protected] Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 (edited) Well, a lazy Sunday casting bucktails paid off. We saw 7, hooked 4 and I landed this 44 " Kawartha's beauty...and this was my first time musky fishing. I now know why this is so addictive. I'm hooked! Edited June 21, 2007 by carponthefly
hydro Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 Great fish! What do you figure on the weight of that one?
[email protected] Posted June 21, 2007 Author Report Posted June 21, 2007 It was thick (check out that head...not Mike's head, the musky's) so we were guessing somewhere between 22 - 25 lbs. She is big but if the one that took that bite out of her tail is still swimming around watch out!
Whitemikeca Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 Nice kawartha ski! Congrats. You don't it yet but you are about to have a lot less disposable cash. Once the muskie bug hits you will wonder how you just dropped $400 on lures.
Mike the Pike Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 Nice first Muskie I am still trying to get one 44 inches only in my dreams.MTP
Roy Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 Yup, a fine looking Kawartha specimen. Congrats!
1leggedangler Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 What a beaut!! Congrats. For a first outing those are fine results to say the least. Cheers, 1leg

jediangler Posted June 21, 2007 Report Posted June 21, 2007 Nice fish, can you imagine how much harder it would have pulled if it had a whole tail? Congrats!
