chessy Posted February 27, 2016 Report Posted February 27, 2016 The government also touted recents cuts to funding to the natural resources ministry and the ministry responsible for mining by $19 million. And yet another plan to “modernize” ServiceOntario is expected to save as well.http://news.nationalpost.com/news/canada/canadian-politics/ontario-budget-2016-predicts-deficit-reduced-by-billions-alongside-revamped-climate-change-plan
G.mech Posted February 27, 2016 Report Posted February 27, 2016 (edited) The MNRF does nothing that directly affects the majority of the urban dwellers therefore it is unimportant and unnecessary....our money is much better spent on things the like the Union-Pearson express train that runs back and forth empty all day. Oggie Posted February 27, 2016 Report Posted February 27, 2016 Geez do they have 19 million left to cut! Sad! More fund-raising so the CO's have gas for their trucks. I hear a lot of poachers cheering!

Exactly, the Liberal ridings are virtually all in majour urban areas.
wormdunker Posted February 27, 2016 Report Posted February 27, 2016 This is not good for our grandchildren! Will future generations be able to enjoy the great outdoors & bring home a fish or 2?
bigugli Posted February 27, 2016 Report Posted February 27, 2016 Does not matter which party you could have picked. Every government over the past 25 years has chopped away at the budgets of "rural" ministries like the MNR, MNRF, MOMF, etc... tokeep the city folks happy. Imagine how pissed urbanites would get if MTO enforcement on the 400 series highways was chopped 2-3%.

Dara Posted February 29, 2016 Report Posted February 29, 2016 And here I thought Kathleen McGuinty was big on developing the Ring of Fire...guess it was just another lie
