What I can't get over is nothing from the US border states....I haven't seen anything from them.

Crap don't flow upstream, no US below Montreal. There is also a 7500 litre leak of fuel from a cruise ship now too down around Quebec City. :wallbash:

The town my dad lives in put in a high tech new sewer system a couple years ago. The town was excited, until they found out it would all end up in the harbour anyways. It was better for the environment before they put it in. Tons of crap gets dumped in the water every day.

You would be amazed at just how many cities and towns dump straight into our water systems on a regular basis, and during storm overflow events.

It does happen quite often, most times it's partially treated however. Don't think people would be happy with the alternative though...ie backed-up sewers and flooded basements. It has to go somewhere and treatment facilities can only handle so much.

Purposely built wetlands here in Brighton, called waste water polishing. Pretty neat idea.

Yes, and very effective. Should be used everywhere. The whole idea makes so much sense on so many ways, but engineers cant get thwir heads out of the sand long enough to let a system like that be approved.
