jimmer Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 (edited) Those buggers can be tough. Fished all afternoon yesterday and we had one bite. This was it and it happened to be on my buddy's birthday. A smaller 35" fish, but at least we caught one. I never had a bite. Edited October 3, 2014 by jimmer
jimmer Posted October 3, 2014 Author Report Posted October 3, 2014 This was a surprise last minute catch. Amazing what will hit a muskie bait trolled at a higher speed.
Lunkerhunter Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 always nice when the birthday guy gets a catch. thanks for sharing jim. cheers
mistaredone Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 I never mind getting skunked if I can put a buddy on a fish. A nice bday present
AKRISONER Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 ive always said, that a fish in the boat is the boat's fish. Its a team effort out there. Well done.
Rich Clemens Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Interesting. Last year I had a 20" LargeMouth hit my Double-Cow girl on Nippissing. Nice to see some folks are catching some ski's this year.

Gregoire Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 That looks like a Musky...they must be related.
captpierre Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 With muskie fishing, you are always only 1 fish away from a boom/bust day
misfish Posted October 3, 2014 Report Posted October 3, 2014 Thats why I fish bass. LOL Nice bonus for his BDay.
Wagoneer Posted October 4, 2014 Report Posted October 4, 2014 I've had two PB's of other species (LM and SM bass) while trolling for muskie this year. Can't say I've been very successful for muskie, just a couple small ones, but it's crazy that bass will still hit a 8" lure being trolled along at 6mph!
jimmer Posted October 6, 2014 Author Report Posted October 6, 2014 That looks like a Musky...they must be related. It is but we always dream of multiple fish days.
