Walleye'm Fishing Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 (edited) I've been fishing this tiny lake for 20 years now. The fishing is fantastic but I only fish up here once or twice a year at most. If you're up here at the right time, they're on fire. Up here, they always put up a great fight. Pure beauty lives up here. 16 inch brook trout such as this nice female are fairly common in tiny lakes up here. A nice fat 16 inch male speck from up here. Now that was a great day of brookie fishing up here in the backwoods!!! Edited September 15, 2013 by Walleye'm Fishing
Rod Caster Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Oh man! Amazing outing. Love your setup too.
Roy Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Peace and quiet.....how can you not like that. Beautiful specks as well. Thanks for sharing.
4x4bassin Posted September 15, 2013 Report Posted September 15, 2013 Love the back woods reports , thanks .
Joeytier Posted September 16, 2013 Report Posted September 16, 2013 Beautiful speckles. Are these naturals?
Walleye'm Fishing Posted September 16, 2013 Author Report Posted September 16, 2013 Thanks for the comments gang! Beautiful speckles. Are these naturals? Yes indeed, they are naturals. This is the main reason why I only fish this lake once or twice a year. I really don't want to put too much pressure on such a small but magical lake. I've respectfully fished it with great success for the last 20 years and hopefully for the next 20 as well.
Moosebunk Posted September 17, 2013 Report Posted September 17, 2013 Great fishin' bud. Always enjoy your speckie from the toob reports. Some wicked colors on that bunch "up there."
