kickingfrog Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 My son is 5. He loves to tell me that, "One hundred, plus one hundred, is two hundred and one thousand, plus one thousand, is two thousand." It's cute that he thinks he can add, my wife and I just smile and nod.
muskymatt Posted March 4, 2014 Author Report Posted March 4, 2014 My son is 5. If I were you I wouldn't let him watch the laffs any more then, the adverse effects are showing already!
BillM Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 A little too late! Can't start playing with 5mins left in the hockey game, lol.
jbailey Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 anyone see Toronto's great mayor on Kimmel?! wow, just.. wow
tb4me Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 anyone see Toronto's great mayor on Kimmel?! wow, just.. wow Well Ford had it coming and Kimmel went no holds barred..However Ford took it like a man and handled it well..I was surprised at how well he took it..
jbailey Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 I thought Kimmel was rather gentle considering how it could have went. I can only imagine how different it would have been had he went on John Stewart haha. (I was being sarcastic about Toronto's great mayor by the way.. )
jedimaster Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Wow luongo traded to Florida for markstrom and matthias
davey buoy Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Wow luongo traded to Florida for markstrom and matthias Really?wow!
kickingfrog Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Tort's scorched earth demeanour is wearing thin even faster in Vancouver then it did in NY or Tampa.
jedimaster Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 How about. Kesler for say a kadri, Reimer and a pick?
Steve Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 likely not even have to add the pick. if kesler wants out, and kadri being overrated, i'd say you might get away with kadri and reims for kesler.
davey buoy Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 How about. Kesler for say a kadri, Reimer and a pick? I say forget about Kessler and trade Kuleman for a good defenceman .
kickingfrog Posted March 4, 2014 Report Posted March 4, 2014 Despite the trade, and the Canucks paying 15% of his salary they could still get hit with penalties if he retires before the end of his deal. He turns 35 in a month and has 8 more years on his deal. If Luongo retires in 2016 the Canucks pay over $1.42 million for 6 years, Panthers $508K for 6 years. 2017 Van $1.7 mill and Fla $886K for 5 years. It continues until 2020 at $4.26 mill X2 years for Van and $73 thousand X2 for Fla And finally in 2021 $8.52 mill for Van and zero for Fla. Bobby Lou was right last trade deadline day.
jedimaster Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Kessler in the ice for 20 minutes adds a lot of defense versus what they will need to give up. I think kulleman will need to go to make space. Who knows. It will be interesting to see if Nono makes any moves.
BillM Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 I don't think Toronto is going to make any big deals. For what they need (another good dman) they'll need to give up too much. They already put McLaren on waivers in order to get some space to sign Bolland. I like Kuli but you don't get anything for him... Bring back Komorov! LOL!!!
kickingfrog Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 If Bolland re-signs, that doesn't impact this year's cap.
BillM Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 If Bolland re-signs, that doesn't impact this year's cap. I thought it did? Even better then.
jbailey Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 I think MacDonald would have been good for the leafs, thoughts?
tb4me Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 I thought it did? Even better then. He is on IR right now but when he returns his cap hit is in effect.
kickingfrog Posted March 5, 2014 Report Posted March 5, 2014 Being on IR doesn't automatically give cap releif. It has to be long term and the team has to request for the relief from the league. I don't think the Leaf's asked/received cap relief for Bolland.
