Well I was going to Balsam unnamed Lake on Saturday....but.....

woke up in the morning and felt it was cool/cold , so I I stayed in bed an extra hour

got up at 6 am and started to load the boat..dang it was cold..at that point I decided not to go to balsam

so off I went to unnamed simcoe.unnamed cooks bay to be exact

I started catching some half descent sized bass on crank bait and plastic worms....

later I was getting taps but no hook ups..I slowed down and started getting real small bass and lots of them..it is really great to see that many small bass. if 5 or so years they will be lots of fun....I only took one picture of the small ones and a few of the bigger ones

man I was not ready for how cold it was on the water.....

not easy when you are by yourself... but here are some photos

I stopped fishing and spent about 1.5 hours using the under water camera

I saw lots of sunfish and bluegills and rock bass and largemouth bass and carp and even walleye..the walleye didn't show up too well on the video

but here is a long video..you might want to just watch part of it

Hi Terry your dam right it was cold out there this morning , i left home north of the city at 5 and had to scrape the windshield off on the truck , i was up at the north end of noname bay for a while this morning but spent the rest of the day in noname bay out of the wind , just came back in a few minutes ago , glad to be home. For me it seemed the perch were no where to be found today but like you the bass were hitting real good , i took the camera with me and when i had a good fish to take a picture of the dam batterys were dead in the thing , the best one i caught to day for a Bass had his nose toughing the bottom of a five gallon pail while his tail hung over the top of it , sorry with out having a picture to show this is the best way i can tell how big it was . All in all it was not to bad of a day ........................... i better go clean dem fish .

Awesome report, pics and videos Terry :thumbsup_anim:

Yeah when I got up this morning, I looked outside and saw white on all the roofs that I could see from my bedroom window.... I went downstairs and looked at the thermometer from the kitchen window and it displayed 0C :w00t:

A frosty one for sure
