linweir Posted December 24, 2010 Report Share Posted December 24, 2010 What is right price to rebuild 4 cylinder Merc 115 HP (2 stroke V4). After inspecting, compression of 2 cylinders are low. Exaxtly I had my 60 3 cyl Johnson rebuilt and it was 1500 dollars that was 8 years ago, but 500.00 per cylinder would be a starting point, also as Wayne mentioned, motor is open you should do the other 2 as well, providing the motor is worth the 2000 plus 2 rebuild, furthermore make sure you premix yourself, to make sure your getting the proper lubrication Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Whatever you do, don't just scrap it, if you are going to get rid of it, I would love to have it so I can use it to teach one of my apprentices.
