Roy Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 6:39 here and I just took out the recycling. Light of day is just coming up over the horizon. There's a large star to the South East of me and it's the only star visible in the sky. Can anyone tell me which one that is?
TennesseeGuy Posted December 16, 2010 Report Posted December 16, 2010 (edited) Probably Venus. No visible stars in Tennessee this morning. Edited December 16, 2010 by TennesseeGuy

Gerritt Posted December 18, 2010 Report Posted December 18, 2010 Just a heads up guys, On Dec 21st we will be able to observe a total lunar eclipse, what is cool about this is it is happening on the same day as the northern winter solstice. Something that has not happened in centuries. http://science.nasa.gov/science-news/science-at-nasa/2010/17dec_solsticeeclipse/ Thanks for the cool links guys G
