If this cold weather keeps up, then it's possible. We need to hope for super cold nights, no snow, and no wind. Check with local hut operators for ice thickness before you venture out. If it's not good, then Cook's Bay and KEmpenfelt Bay should be good by then.

if the weather holds..and not too much wind and not too much more snow the whole lake should be frozen by then.... but.......lots can change between no and then

By the looks of it, I would say it is open water.

How can you tell what's ice or open water? :dunno:

Just make sure of the ice thickness.

Too many needless drownings last winter.

I don't want to be hearing of any OFNCers going down.

There's enough bad things happening.
