Stephen Brunt's video essay on these Olympic games.
Grimace replied to kickingfrog's topic in General Discussion
Stephen Brunt as usual did a great job of catching the spirit of things. The voice of reason on the fan prime time and he writes a great sports book as well. Thanks for posting that video. -
It was a great game. The states were amazing. They could have won gold this year never mind 4 years from now. USA hockey looks fantastic. That being said. PHEW!!!!!! Gold baby. I am loving being a Canadian right now. Best feeling ever

Ditto. That was an incredible 2 weeks and in incredible hockey game to finish it off. I am going to go slug back a pint of 100% maple syrup and mate with my wife.

Best Olympics ever. Best hockey game ever.

Hang on to your hats!!!!!

The first time they played, Canada had a bad game and the States made them pay. This time Canada is playing good and the States are right there with them. This game is living up to the hype as far as I am concerned and the rugged battles that are being fought and won by both teams is to me the epitome of hockey. 2-1 Canada after 2. I hope the 3rd gets even better. Both goalies playing well and both teams playing well. It does not get better than this. Nothing worse than a championship game that ends up in a blow out because 1 team folds. Go Canada!!!!

The discrepancy is between 62 and 108 fish. Either way it is a lot of fish, but an explanation is more suitable than a few fish pictures. The explanation so far is that the other guy left early, after 62 fish were caught and did the report at 10 at night without getting the final numbers for the day. Even though he left half way through and had already tallied enough fish for the best day. His interest wasn't peaked enough apparently to find the final numbers (47 more fish) before he advertised it on the web. That does not make sense. Stoty you still have not explained whether or not you stand by your comments that Jeff C and company photoshopped there fish. He seemed to have proved he didn't with the camera data. So after that accusation of your competition and the photo data proof being given you have said nothing. So it is one or the other. My point being that you have never had a problem calling people out. The whole thing stinks.

So his post was in past tense. "Tuesday was even better, we had our best day on the ice EVER…62 walleye" So he made this post after 10:06 at night and he never phoned you guys to see how the best day ever ended? If he left after 62 walleye, and 108 were caught he must have left much earlier to give you guys time to catch 46 fish. So if he left that early and it was apparently the best day ever I would think that he would be very interested in how things turned out. Your pretty defensive for a guy who called his competition photo shoppers, and said it was by far the worst photoshopping job you have ever seen. Quote As an advanced Photoshop user I totally agree that the fish is most definitely altered! Lighting is off, edges are absolutely brutal, the way he's holding it, etc. It's very easy to alter a fish to appear MUCH larger than it actually is. However...that is the WORST Photoshop job that I've ever seen, lol. No doubt that is a nice fish, but it's nowhere near the quoted weight/size. _________________ Jamie Stothart G2 Angling Specialists "A Premium Guide Service" 647-482-FISH www.G2Angling.com End Quote So I guess you call people out as well Stoty. Your competition to boot. As it turned out that picture wasn't Photoshopped and not a word from you. I have no affiliation with your competition, I could care less. But as far as you getting people to feel sorry for you because you got called out. Gimme a Break. Are you going to show pictures of 100 fish. Really. What does it prove? That your group has in fact caught 100 fish. When were they caught.

Good call Lloyd. I agree 100%. In January someone was looking for ice conditions on the Bay. 2 weeks later he was a guide with G2. A couple days ago accused his competition of Photoshopping when they didn't. How do you go from this http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...mp;#entry423763 To this in 13 days. http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...mp;#entry428633 Then in this thread someone asked for advice and he offered to take him out on a guided trip. http://www.ofncommunity.com/forums/index.p...bay+quinte+help after my comment he edited his post to make himself look a bit better but still did not offer any advice except for a pm, where you can bet he offered to take him out for money. It Stinks.

The boats would be better for sure, but Lund bailed. Toyota picked up the slack so I give them nothing but credit. I know it's minor but I would be complaining about the boats not being there, and also a little thankful that at least they got replaced by cars.

My favourite part of the game was on Morrows goal when Canada grinded and cycled them to the point they could not even skate anymore, they completely mentally and physically defeated them to the point they actually just stopped skating.

My buddy was at the Bobsled track last night for the girlss and he said it was the most amazing experience ever. I think he was in turn 10. His view.

Slovakia surprises the Swedes. USA vs Finland Canada vs Slovakia You have to watch the Slovaks they barely beat Norway but have beaten Russia and the Swedes in the same tournament. Halak is hot and they have some great players. USA Finland should be a low scoring affair, Miller versus Kipper Canada vs USA for gold on the girls side today. Flip a coin.

That's Canada hockey. Grind the guts right out of em, destroying them on the turnover battle, hitting, skill. I love it. Russians will make a game of it yet, but it is exciting to see that Canada has finally arrived

My kid will be able to do anything he wants. Except play net. My cousin grew so fast my aunt and uncle would have to go get him a new set of pads half way through the season.
-
Too funny. I hope the States win so it is possible to play them again for a medal.

We should have no problem beating the Germans at our National sport, we beat them at theirs(war) twice now. Haha. Just joking all you Germans, you make great cars.

and of course tempra. but that can constipate them, but it works really good when the going gets really tough for the little one.

Same thing here man. Hyland's Teething tablets. Camilia Teething solution Gripe water. All of them are all natural. Stay away from that numbing ambesol stuff, they swallow it and the throat goes numb and then they choke on their own drool (that's what I heard anyways). We have 4 bottom teeth and 1 coming in on the top now. Cheers Man

I am kinda on the fence with this one as I do not believe people should be openly sharing there fishing spots on an open forum like this. At the same time I do not think saying what lake your on is a big deal, unless it is a small little gem people do not know about then the infamous lake x would appear. However I have to admit I snickered to myself when I saw these whited out photos. A solution. What Irishfield said. Makes it look better. I have one too. Get your buddy to stand and you kneel (insert joke here), he takes picture downwards on an angle and all that is in your background is ice, makes for a good picture as well. It also doesn't look ridiculous to share on the web. Cheers

Did you Here what the U. S supreme court decided on

We are not flying, we are falling. We are just so high up we haven't noticed the grounds getting closer. At the risk of sounding overly simple. I know these things are complicated. Can they not just zap or kill all the fish in this river further down the road. If the biomass in the water is 85% invasive carp, who cares. Make a barrier back there and keep the shipping open so all those people do not lose their jobs and those companies do not have to shut down. Again I am fairly ignorant of the actual area this is going on in, I am sure there is a reason they can't or if it is possible, maybe they are looking into it?
