  1. Nice fish Rich. Looking forward to the videos. Dang, I think I'm going senile ..... what's the name of your site again where you post the videos? I can't believe I forgot it ! Phew found it ... Action Angling.
  2. Those are some beauty fish. I've never fished for smallies on Simcoe (only ever fished the Perch Festival), but all these pics are sure making me want too. Nice job. What was your bait of choice?
  3. My first car was a 67 Dodge Dart GT. I never drove it legally though. I fixed it up over the summer and sold it. Sorry, no pics. Shortly after I came to my senses, followed the family tradition and became a GM man. I then My first cool car I legally drove was a 1969 Nova SS (high school).I drive a HUGE Buick Roadmaster Wagon now. I must be getting old because I think they're cool now. My last really cool car was my 1969 Camaro. It had a nasty small block in it. It ran low 11's street trim. That was about four or five years ago now. The car I wish I had back is my 1972 Vega GT, mint, straight, black, tubbed, 406 small block. Also ran low 11's street trim. I had this car for about eight or nine years. I miss it. I just found a pic of my 69, just after I sold it (with new paint ... same exact drivetrain, wheels, etc. ... he added a little spray and ran 9.70's with the car).
  4. Wow, those are beauties. Thanks for sharing. Just curious. What'd you catch them on?
  5. How far do you want to go? Some of my favourite places (Provincial Parks) to camp and fish are Bon Echo, Murphy's Point, Arrowhead and the Pinery. Too far? Try Rockwood (small but nice). Sandbanks is awesome, but tricky to get in. Emily was decent too. I'll be going to Charleston PP soon and I'm hoping that's good. Sure looks beautiful. Let us know where you go and how it was.
  6. I run a small family business selling high performance muscle car/race parts. We've been open for 34 years and I'm hoping for at least another ten. Check us out at www.brantperformance.ca .
  7. Mepps for almost anything, Rapala jointed shad raps (JSR9 in silver or perch), Husky jerks, bucktails, Cordell Ripllin Redfins for sure and Storm chug bugs for topwater fun.
  8. I"d have to say the only spots I'm divulging would be the Big Rideau and Lake Erie (Long Point inner bay). Both are great fishing spots though.
  9. This really hurts me to say this .... BUT .... congrats Stoty on your victory. I came in eighth, so not a terrible showing, but it's not first. Good going bud. So glad you won.
  10. Nice looking boat. Wish it was coming home with me. I didn't know the Legends had Smokercraft hulls. Something to keep in mind. My dad bought a Smokercraft 16' brand new about twenty years ago and it and the 60hp yammy are still going strong. Anyway congrats you lucky devil .
  11. Yep, the Pens are done. I doubt they'll win another one, but I still hope they do? You had to know the Wings would win the series. My brain said the Wings, but my heart said Pens. I hope the Wings put Chelios back in, he deserves to be there for the cup win.
  12. We use Deep Woods Off when we're camping and it seems to work great. We try not to use it too much, but sometimes you just have to. I think I'll buy some listerine and try it. Does it work on coons too?
  13. I'd take them all day, anyday. Nice one. Nice clean looking fish too.
  14. Wow Now that's an intro! Great post. Hmmm, 200 days of fishing a year? Man am I jealous. Glad to have you aboard. Keep those great posts coming. I'll be clicking on all the posts you make for sure.
  15. There's a story to the name my boat has adopted. I arranged for my ten year old son and I to pick up our boat in Kitchener while my daughter was taking her Irish dance lesson. I had picked her up late the week before while we looked at it, negotiated and left a deposit. Everything went according to plan and we even got back on time to pick her up. So she's a good ole boat. The guy I got it from was given it by his grandfather almost thirty years ago. She's had a few paint jobs and dents along the way. Now it was sort of a teal/aqua blue with white and kind of a minty green showing through in spots (depending how deep the scratch was). Somehow even with the boats appearance should we respectfully say "less than perfect" I was still excited to show her, I guess thinking of the good times we were going to have in it. So when my daughter walks out and sees the boat for the first time she says " That is HIDEOUS". So needless to say she just named the boat and it will forever more be known as Hideous (in an affectionate way LOL).
  16. That looks like some sweeeeet action. Thanks for posting.
  17. Thanks for the post. I bought some Fireline Crystal (8#) and got rain checks for a couple 6#. Thanks again. Does anybody here use this as leader material? Looks like it'd be pretty good in the small #'s as the diameter is pretty small as well as being translucent and strong. I know Ian James suggests using the 6# as fly leader.
  18. That is certainly a beauty. What fly did you catch that big'n on?
  19. Sounds like a great day MJL. Those are some SWEET looking fish. I'm hoping to get out tomorrow (after my daughters dance competition) and hopefully I'll land at least one fish. Now I have inspiration. Thanks.
  20. Now that's what I'm talking about baby !!!!!! Nice!!
  21. OPP Kids Day is Saturday May 3rd. Here's the link. http://www.orillia.com/perchfestival/ I hope the weather"s nice.
  22. I guess I'm bad too. I just cut mine up in really small pieces with scissors and put in in the garbage. It's gotta be better than half the other garbage out there.
  23. IDIOTS!!! I at least hope they're employing a bunch of people.
  24. Another great report. You ARE Mr. Consistency aren't you? Do you have them trained?
  25. Thanks for the update Tinbanger. I might be going up Sunday?
