another home away from home game.... great way to end the weekend

it was a great day to be a Hamiltonian yesterday. TiCat game leading right into Leaf game.... Komarov has one of his best games of the year... the beverages were flowing nicely last eve. Now, lets go beat up on those lowly Sens.

here a link (nothing official, just supporting what I had heard). http://www.landsail.net/proj4.htm

the boats were designed to keep water out, not water in... I first heard from someone on this board that they were doing the in boat water test and half way up filling it collapsed the sides and destroyed his boat... then two years ago (or so) I saw a video posted from youtube of someone doing that with a bigger aluminum boat (alumicraft if I recall) and same thing happened... I'm sure a physics or material engineering fella could explain this further.... but it takes a lot more structural integrity to hold water in then to keep it out.
-
don't fill an aluminum boat with water from the inside too high... boats were not designed to 'keep water in'.....you'll watch a disaster occur right before your eyes. (or youtube it to see it happen to others, lol)

I wonder what a competitive salary means.... competitive is a loose term. sounds like a cool job!

I'm the furthest thing from a hunter, but spending time with Mr Suzuki is something I'd never pass up. very cool report. I picture him to be a single malt guy.

you think the Yankee's would ever put advertising on their shirts?

interesting news.

there is an east coast fishing board where hard merchandise posts on. apparently there is quite a bit of use of cinder blocks tied to rods and chucked overboard so they can get all the right angles of a rod doubling over.... typical realty tv show. but still better than much of what is on tv these days. been watching "Rome" lately....now that is a good show!!
-
Fun show....just wish they would watch their editing and maybe take it more seriously. (i guess they don't have to however). in the middle of a single fight of a single fish I saw the reel change four times and the weather conditions change three times. stuff like that bugs me.

that boat is a rocket....fun to run in, and even more fun to fish out of!!! it's narrow like a rocket!

well bud, I'm very sure Shimano did not step into the camera manufacturing world. as such, it might be better to find out who made the camera, and buy from that manufacturer. likely save the ridiculous shimano markups they are famous for.

ahhh man, that sucks!

Karma... it is a three way street correct?

wonderful. she's absolutely wonderful. -
What designates an area as "sensitive"? You know where I'm going with this, and you know the use of the 1033 program. I hope Canada doesn't employ the same tactics under the disguise of "anti terrorism". That is my biggest fear as a result from yesterday's nightmare.

Ferguson and the 1033 program. Hands Up. Don't Shoot.

thank you for the update. its been a very emotional day...i've kept Jenn in my thoughts all day. a ray of hope and sunshine. -
but where does this fella go? he was born in Canada and was a Canadian citizen. there is not an easy answer to this.

that is because ESPN doesn't have a clue when it comes to business. well, actually, ESPN doesn't have a clue when it comes to most things...but especially business.

MLSE is the single most successful business in the NHL. They turn the highest profit margins. For their goals, they are the #1 team in the NHL. That is the challenge with the Leafs. Look at some of the other teams that are constantly successful (in winning hockey games). The majority are owned by "single owners" who treat the team like a hobby. Leafs are owned by a money making corporation. I believe they are the single most valuable sports franchise in North America. As such, in the owners eyes, they are the single best team in North America. Unfortunately what Fans want, and what ROI achieves, are two different things.

Bernie's post got me thinking. (ya ok so that is rare)

cliff, that must be a good feeling. to be retired but still loving life and learning. my old man worked in a steel industry sub contracted electrical company for 33 years. They closed their doors during the last recession. its tough now. he now works for half the pay, works twice as hard, and has no end in sight. he should be planning for retirement, instead he's planning to work for 10 more years...at least. I love to hear these positive retirement stories. i can't wait for dad to work because he wants to, not because he has to. A special feeling no doubt! -
Bill, it's similar to those that say if there is no GOSD then the number of salmon fisherman will decline. What, GOSD is the only reason folks fish for salmon? Sometimes folks forget fishing is supposed to be a fun past time.

Paul fishes and guides Erie....he can work that rough water like no ones business. An Erie boy wins on Simcoe. :clapping:
