  1. Mighty fine weekend there Wayne! Pretty tough to beat that.
  2. Replace it. There is no way to verify all contaminants are removed by flushing.
  3. Fished a lot through my life but really have never targeted Musky. So never have caught one. Lots of pike though. My brother goes bass fishing in a lake west of here where there are many musky and no pike. As a matter of fact he says the musky are a pain. They tend to be pretty hard on his bass tackle.
  4. Let me see......Maybe Wayne could make up the pontoons. I will get the power train together. Thinking a 1200 4 stroke Rotax would be the ticket there. Belt drive to reduce the weight and simplify. Build it to keep center of gravity low to reduce risk of rollover. Ya it could work. Question the sideways slide thing though?
  5. A more modern version could work well on thin ice and water for rescue.
  6. Hey Rick . Glad to see you here again.
  7. OK, thanks Joey.
  8. Hiya Joey. Looks like a beautiful spot to visit ! And fish too! Glad to see you caught some. Did you leave Wayne up there? He said he was going to stop by here on his way home today.
  9. It's like putting money in a slot machine. Most of the time you lose. Manufacturers warranty only if you decide it's necessary.
  10. Dang ......Go away for 5 minutes and WHAM!!!!
  11. Aww we missed ya Joe. But I was really happy to hear Cliff was coming along! A jam session sounds like a great idea. Don't know why Cliff didn't mention Gerritts fishing experience off the dock though. He was casting off the dock first thing Saturday morning but got his Jumla snagged in a tree. He quit trying after that.
  12. That's what Cliff looked like walking to the shack on Sunday morning.
  13. Haven't been that far south for a few years. Time to go for a visit. I may need some new jig powder paint, maybe a new rod if I feel one I like.
  14. Well done Cliff ! I knew you were the best man for the weekend report. Glad you could make it up here.
  15. When he's done with his gubby you could attach a hook and troll with it.
  16. Give the man some time Gerritt. There were so many fish to report on.
  17. I will word this carefully. The diameter on the ram mount holding my GPS is a 1". Plenty solid for it.
  18. Have one at least 5 years old. Work great. Never a problem.
  19. Careful with peeing on it. Look what happened here.
  20. Thank you for the comments. Glad you are enjoying them. We have spent a good part of our lives in a wonderous era Lew. Those were posted as they came off the scanner Chris. A good fellow from here sent a program to enhance/ clean them up but I have to learn it first. So true Roy! I try not to but am guilty of it as well. I looked for one that would do larger negatives too Carole as there are several hundred or more around. But we also have a couple thousand slides to do so that will keep me busy for a year or two. I tried pushing in a 128 negative and it works but it only is capable of scanning the space of a 35 mm so much of the picture is lost.
  21. I would not recommend anything with oils in it on your weatherstripping. It may be absorbed into the rubber, expand it, and fall off. Silicone spray is the best option.
  22. Ok Wayne. I will be around tomorrow. I will keep the coffee pot full. Taking Friday off to get ready for ice fishing crew this weekend.
  23. Purchased a slide/negative scanner today. Dug out some old packages of negatives and found a couple of treasures. Thought I would share. These guys are family and friends. Looks like a good days fishing. It looks like there were 6 guys fishing that day. Another young lad fishing off the dock. This one was taken in my era. This is my dad and a friend of mine after we went fishing.
  24. Have you ever asked Sean about musky fishing? He knows how to catch them!
  25. Big Cliff, Marc at Anglers Haven is a friend of mine.We grew up in the same town and we both share a love for the lake and where we live. He has a good heart and is really good with people. Often stop by his place on my way out to my place and have a chat. He runs a good operation and has some good people working with him. He knows where the fish are.
