  1. When you eventually find your way down here Brian (hopefully with Ryan), you're going to need to bring a large selection for me to peruse through.
  2. For my Wine loving customers. Over the years I have saved a rather large collection of unused pieces (I shy away from saying scrap) from many rod builds, acrylic, burl wood and even some Moose and Deer antler. I never really knew why or for what purpose I saved them but I'm a gatherer collector (of Scottish decent ) and I have finally found a use for them. Some will be given to the customers who actually have the rod builds that the leftovers came from. It started on a whim about 2 weeks back when I shopping online for needed shop supplies. I came across some Canadian made stainless steel Wine bottle stoppers so I purchased 10 on a whim. It quickly became what I refer to now as "Project 10." The interest has already generated enough demand that I had to order another 10 stainless stoppers for "Project 10" - 2.0, which arrived this morning. Don't mind the very crude stands, they were quickly made to hold them upright and level while the resin over my logo cured. Cheers
  3. 80 pounds.....holy crap. Imagine the crushing power in his bite. Yikes! And yes, "Gentle" is always spoken in a calm and loving manner, they understand that our vocal tones underlie and enforce the command itself, imo.
  4. I have a few sharp puppy teeth scars from intentional aggressive play but they're the price happily paid for Barry in the process to ensure that my pups know and understand the term "gentle!" My last few dogs (Brook and now Gordie) would allow crawling babies to take their food right out of their mouths, or their treats and toys and they would do nothing aggressive. However, on my command they can turn when necessary.
  5. Yikes! LOL And yet in the hands of a compassionate and loving owner those teeth will never harm anyone, intentionally as you well know Barry.
  6. I just had to share this. My daughter's near 13 year old Lab has had a number of major health issues in the last 3 years, among them the loss of a cancerous leg 2 years ago and a cancerous spleen last November. But he's a fighter and as strong as a plow horse when I'm walking him, almost daily. My daughter always makes him his annual Halloween Costumes and last year he was Bat Dog and this year he's a Pirate Dog. Too cute!
  7. Big fan of The Stranglers as well. Here's a shot of me and Hugh Cornwell when he signed my vinyl copy of Aural Sculpture. Oh and Caroline Cambell.
  8. One of my fave bands since, well forever!
  9. That's just it exactly Bill, rural Coyotes don't behave in the same manner as city Coyotes who seemingly have no fear.
  10. Not here in Hamilton, they're highly visible, even in mid day in many high traffic areas. I myself have been followed by them when walking my dog. Where my daughter works (west Hamilton) they're often seen following dog walkers in broad daylight, in fact she was just telling me of a close encounter yesterday morning where the dog owner said she's often followed by Coyotes when walking her (large) dog.
  11. Yum!
  12. I'd be extremely happy to offer my customer that option Bill when the last blank in my inventory hits the build bench. Many thanks my friend. Note, you're long over due for visit.
  13. Hey, that's Mr Ron Arnold, good friend of the Stelco Fishing Club and very often guest speaker, not a man to mess with regards to Fishing and Hunting regulation violations! I like that!
  14. Thanks Bill, it is going on a KP 13'6 (5-10) and the customer thought it appropriate. I will start another thread once it's all together. I believe it was my last one, not the blank, I still have one more 5-10, last crown cap.
  15. The butt cap is now complete. The reel seat has seen final polishing. Then off to mortising, it was touch and go. Revealing a large void that'll I'll need to fill in. Maker's Mark. Assembly check and we're good to go to blank installment.
  16. You're very welcome. It's a dandy, takes me way back to my first home away from my parents home and the wild times that were had ....
  17. I took my daughters to see them at Copps back in 2019.
  18. Seems fishing related with all of the "fishing related lyrics."
  19. Anyone? I'm certainly not the only old guy here......
  20. Nothing wrong with your memory Lew, my photo file data states, February 2nd, 2003 and as I recall, no Musky were harmed.
  21. 58, that's fantastic Lew. I spent hours this morning going through archives of photos on multiple discs trying to find one I know I have of you and Diane at Lakair, with Marvin and failed to find it. I did however this one of you ice fishing for Musky ...... JK 😆 Happy 58th Anniversary to you and Diane, may you both enjoy many more.
  22. I could but it would be more effort and time than what's required.
