  1. That is some devotion Lorne and way cool, literally! Kudos to you for proving that carp angling is not restricted to the warmer months. I hope you garner some sort of prize for your efforts.
  2. Nothing in Hamilton.
  3. I'm guessing a little to cold for a test run with the new boat Albert.
  4. Interesting. Here's an off the wall idea, why not epoxy an alligator type clip to it, add rubber tubing to the jaws and set your micro bait into it at the desired depth. Auto micro jigger.
  5. Too funny....
  6. You know at times it floors me how insensitive some can be! We've had members come and go, some leave quietly and some come on board to say goodbye. Perhaps it's because they would like to inform friends that they'll need to seek another avenue to stay in touch, whatever. Is that so wrong? For those who feel the need to piss on this I suggest you find another avenue to vent. If you have nothing nice to say, shut-up!
  7. The extra "C" is for "corporation", it's on their home page.
  8. I just saw that while perusing some links for the fishing news and thought I'd post it here. But proud Papa beat me to it! Congratulations to the Blowes family, pretty cool.
  9. The 20th could be good for me Terry, perhaps sooner, hard to know at this point. Innisfil is my choice, the walk out to deep water from Sibbalds is a little far.
  10. I'd have loved to get out with you guys for a spell or even meet up for a few cold ones after your fishing day but alas it'll have to wait till next year. 2010, the year of Spiel.
  11. There was some talk about that model here last week GBW. Sorry I can't be of any more help as I have no personal experience with it.
  12. Well I hope you got all the info you needed spinnerdoc.
  13. I could show you but if you want to catch fish as well you best go with the guy quoted below.
  14. At this point I feel it's fair to say "I hate you".
  15. That's what I was thinking along with, who's gonna teach you to use them John.
  16. That's just what I was thinking. 2009, the year of Lew...... Congrats Lew, nice looking ride and as previously mentioned it'll look great pulling that new boat!
  17. Choose a different skin.
  18. I also do this before loading the boat, imagine the friction of the boat running up dry carpet. My observations show that most troubles at the ramp involve trailers being to deep in the water. I pull up so that most of my trailer fenders are out of the water and approx. half of the bunks are also out. This allows the boat to slip and center itself as it rides up the bunks, near perfect everytime.
  19. Spinning reels, all left hand retrieve. Baitcasters all right hand retrieve. But I coming fairly proficient at casting with either hand.
  20. I got to tell you the nylon sutures up the back of my neck look a lot less nastier than that! I have no answers to your query but I hope it all works out for you.
  21. That's an awesome shot right there.
  22. Oh I love brookies and those are some serious BROOKIES!
  23. For me the later the date the better the odds I'll be well enough (hopefully) to attend. That being said the 20th is the logical choice, for me.
  24. Googled this Steve, I have no first hand knowledge of it. Gilford Manor Bed and Breakfast near Lake Simcoe, Ontario We are within walking distance to Lake Simcoe.Enjoy your ice fishing then return to our sauna and hot-tub. Comfortable rooms, Great food. 60 Macnaughton Drive Gilford Ontario L0L 1R0 Canada (705) 456-8866 0r E-Mail, [email protected] The afore mentioned 400 Motel is likely your cheapest bet but it's a fair bit from the lake.
  25. My only fishing related resolution is to recover from surgery and get back to a level of fishing I once enjoyed. That would include more use of my boat and dusting of the fly fishing gear!
