  1. I have a very specific question: When I but theses they have a single hook included in the pkg, but it's not obvious how to change from treble to single. How do you take them apart? Do they unscrew somehow or otherwise disassemble? thx
  2. Wow! They went fast. I guess we would have stood a much better chance if they were Leaf tickets!
  3. Or you could look for a smaller motor e.g. a 2 Hp at about 25 lb.
  4. And if you get there after a good hatch(Mayflies etc) you can forget about using bait or anything other than flies----with the early spring that seems to be on it's way, who knows what it'll be like on opening day.
  5. Well, I have a kevlar canoe and all the gear(Heck, I have several canoes)I, so if anyone is looking for a partner PM me.
  6. I think there's mediation you an get for that!!
  7. Sheesh! Stop braggin', will ya!!
  8. If the Leafs won the cup every 30 years or so then everybody would be happy!!
  9. I once asked Bob Robertson of Double Exposure 'fame' about which impressions were hardest. He said Don Cherry, because Don Cherry is already doing 'Don Cherry"
  10. Thx very much for posting this info which should be readily available to all of us! Somehow I could not find a link to those maps from the link posted further above in this thread. It's a shame, as someone else already said above, that this info is not published in the paper version.
  11. Maybe I'm a bit slow, but I've been told there are several kms of the CW open all year but I still can't find that in the regs.
  12. This happens far too often in other 'walks of life' IMHO. I remember in particular 1 short female Nazi border guard in Detroit whose little bit of power had gone to her head. I'll spare you the details of the ridiculous shenanigans she 'performed'(and i use the word 'perform' deliberately).
  13. Oh, yeah? Well I'll see your lol and raise you a LMAO!!
  14. I normally don't hijack, but I thought Mike Solo started this thread for fun so I didn't think he'd mine. I enjoyed his little essay as well---I thought adding "verily" was a nice touch!
  15. [quote name='Twocoda' date='01y .... on a side note....im a terrible lover It's more like bridge than fishing. If you don't have a partner you need a good hand!!!
  16. I've bought a number of things---mostly positive. Just dealing with the public---No more scumbags than normal, mostly straight shooters. Must talk to the seller beforehand.
  17. Well, locked or not, I'm with Sinclair. I'll put up with $35 beer and stay right here in Canada.
  18. I once asked a guy to sign a receipt. I said "put your John Henry on that". Sure 'nuff, he handed it back signed "John Henry".
  19. I think the $ is more of a parking fee. Lots of people walk into the park in the summer w/o paying. When you pay you get a ticket to put on your dash. I just wouldn't walk right next to the booth with my rod in hand. Just walk along the beach or the grass and you'll be OK.
  20. Getting in there is a bit tricky this time of year because the road isn't ploughed. There's nobody around to check on park passes, but come summer when the OP was interested in going, there will be someone on the gate most of the time.
  21. Maybe a reel company can design a market a "Nestbuster" model!
  22. Did it come with an 'anti-birnesting' guarantee?
  23. I don't mean to nitpick, but there are areas in Ont where it's legal to catch sturgeon. Also, I've been told there are lots of bass near the mouth in early July.
  24. There's also 1 called 'Big Agnes" that I've heard about. I'm still using thermarest but was considering a better one last summer. Try Sojourn's in Barrie if that's not too far.
