What he said was it wasn't cool to lay them on the floor. Laying fish on the floor that you plan to release not only removes some of their protective slime, it also puts more stress on the fish. As a person becomes more experienced with handling muskies they take better care of their catch. I'm sure everyone has at least once dropped a fish in the bottom of the boat or laid it on the floor to take a picture. No need to rip on a person for doing it.

Nice pics. Georgian Bay has some big girls in there. A friend of mine accidentally caught one that was 64" in there about 10 years ago. You should also try fishing Lake St. Clair. There's been a lot of musky over 50" caught there this year.

It's not worth getting 10 HP more if you don't need a new motor. If the 50HP takes a dump on you then get the bigger motor.

Nice bass Greg. I personally think the next Ontario or Michigan record is going to come out of Lake St. Clair. Simcoe has those whitefish for the smallies to eat so it’s possible the next record could come out of there but my money is on St. Clair.

Something smells funny about that deal. Either the guy is on crack or there is some major problems with it if he's going to let it go for $3,500. My buddy bought a 2003 Lund Rebel 16 w/40HP Merc on it for $5,700 & I seen the same boat going for 7,500 to 8,000. Ended up that the guy was hard up for cash & took the first offer he got. Nothing wrong with the boat.

I've seen guys catch them without the wussy gloves. Mike Rowe of Discovery channels "Dirty Jobs" did that without using gloves.

That 8 year old Yamaha 50hp 4 stroke is probably worth around $2,500, give or take a couple hundred. The new Evinrude Etec's are bad arse. They don't smoke & have very low emission. They get better fuel economy than most 4-strokes. The down side is the cost of a new one. Of course you will make up for that extra cost by having to do less maintenance than a 4-stroke or other standard 2-stroke.

Go with an outboard. You will have more freeboard, less weight, easier access for working on the motor, & easier to winterize.

I was wondering the same thing about bringing goods across the border from the US into Canada. This past Friday I seen a lot of cars with Ontario license plates in store parking lots here in Michigan. I usually only see them on the freeways in Detroit due to all the people in Windsor that work in Michigan but to see so many in the stores made me think that the wait to cross the border just got longer.

If the US collected all the debt owed to them they could pay off their own debt & then some.

You might want to re-read your history books. The War of 1812 didn't have a "Winner". The U.S. declared war on Britain because they were preventing our ships from delivering goods to France & because they were supplying the American Indians with arms to fight off whites settlers from taking their land. The US didn't have an army to fight the war because New England refused to get involved with the war & the only military the US had was in New England so they had to use local militia that was poorly trained. The British used local Canadian militia & mostly American Indians to fight off the US attempt to push back the militia that was attacking its trade ships in the Great Lakes. Canada seen this as a victory because they prevented a foreign country from trying to conquer them; which the US never planned on doing in the first place. The US seen it as a victory because they felt that they won their independence once again from the British after they destroyed a large part of the British navy & were allowed to send their trade ships to France. Basically the War of 1812 was just a pissing match over territorial rights.
